You impulse buy golf equipment and then post a thread asking for opinions/feedback on said equipment to reinforce your decision.  Once the equipment arrives the joy of the buying process and anticipation of the delivery ends and you realize your amateur swing still sucks and equipment won't change that.  Your BST post will state how great the equipment was but you just couldn't get along with it.

With a 5 handicap you buy several new drivers every year and replace your wedges twice a year.  But if a 7 handicap posts asking for advice on drivers or wedges you tell them that really they need to spend that money on lessons and should just practice more with what they have...

Not sure if it’s is the right thread for this(I’ll start a new thread in a non-related sub forum anyway), but I want to re-shaft the legs on my backup vessel stand bag with pro launch red shafts to color-coordinate with my custom headcovers. Can anyone tell me if there’s a torque difference between 3rd and 4th gen PL red?  I need to get this right, because this will be the back nine bag holding my v-soles in case turf interaction is off with the mizzy blades from the front. I also plan on tipping these 1.25-1.5”.  Thanks.

You're in the right place, but don't tip more than an inch. The legs will be "too boardy.'

You cut strips of your grass in varying lengths of fairway, first cut and regular rough, then let one patch of the "deep stuff" grow forever to practice hitting out of different conditions. This is helped tremendously by being single and not having any supervision to tell you that you can't 🤣

Pro launch red is a classic, but pretty stout. I know you want to color coordinate, but will the pink Autoflex work? The leg flex will adjust depending on how fast your bag opening speed is. Mine bag speed is low, but many on this site approach pro level bag leg speed.

When you see a club you really don't need, might not even have a use for, yet you end up buying one for a price that was WAY lower than the others you also didn't need.

 

Yesterday I saw a putter head that looked interesting. I just bought a putter that comes tomorrow and I am quite happy with the one in my bag, but this one was "different".

 

I saw a knock off on eBay for $75, not horrible. Then found one for $60, hmm. The real one is over $100. A lot of Google brings up a shop selling the head for $20, got a True Temper shaft and Ping grip for $5/each. Add shipping and it was less than $40 spec'd how I would like it! Deal.

 

Still don't need it, but it could be cool and was less than $40.  🤣

I am currently on shaft 2, and also have a second driver head to try them all with as a back up.

Changing irons three times ... in the winter. 

 

Getting nostalgic about an old favorite club, buying it on eBay, then re-selling it again in same season. (I have done that three times that I can remember. Once for a Scotty Cameron blade putter. Once for Titleist 917 fairway woods. And once for an Original One mini-driver).
