Yeah, ledgeview is a great course - it's beautiful up there. It's challenging if you are not accurate off the tee but it's not long so driver isn't needed for many holes and if you are proficient with a 3 wood or driving iron off the tee you can score well

Played Pagoda in a steady mild rain this morning. Was out there by myself so got a round pretty quick. Only my second round there and first in 3 years. It's a bit of goofy golf out there, but I had fun and played reasonably well. Putted great, which is not normal for me. Despite the fact it seems that no one that plays there owns a pitch repair tool or a tee. Greens looked like Langara in mid Summer.

I noticed the same thing in regards to the pitch marks recently. The greens looked so good when they re-opened but too many of my fellow golfers out here are just too drunk or just don't care enough to do their part. Glad you had some fun while I was 10 minutes away sitting at my desk and briefly hating my life.

My wife and I are playing The Falls on Thursday. Based on the pictures they are posting on social media the course looks good.

Back from Whistler. Played WGC and Big Sky (they opened for guests this week).

Whistler had some fun holes and some snoozers. But I guess it's very early in their season as the greens were down right unputtable. Shaggy and slower than putting on your backyard grass but firm enough that approach shots would roll out forever. Go figure. Having played Morgan the day before where the greens were as fast as they have been all year, it was quite the adjustment.

Big Sky was a nice track with maintenance crew out in full force. Slow greens too but nothing like WGC. The false fronts and slopes around the greens caught me out a number of times. Hardly anyone out there. Was solo with a twosome of ladies in front of me and was done in 3 hours. Wasn't in a hurry so kept my distance to not pressure the ladies. Played 2-3 balls on some holes.

Played The Falls today and left disappointed. Thankfully it only cost $44 per person with tax using The Red Book. Love the routing of the course since it is very unique in our area. The course conditions were good meaning the fairways and greens were firm however the place hasn’t seen a mower in several days. The slick greens that The Falls once was famous for were shaggy, bumpy and still covered in sand from the overly aggressive top dressing they did weeks ago. The bunkers they filled and grassed to make the course more playable are either dirt with tufts of grass or 12” high grass. I though when the Aquilini family purchased the course and housing development the course would see an injection of cash and this simply hasn’t been the case.

Sandpiper is great. If you're out in the valley again, Royalwoods is a sleeper. I played there on Wednesday. The fairways were okay but the greens were pretty fast and in nice shape, plus it's dirt cheap there, about half of ledgeview.

keep finding myself at Morgan creek, with the players club card 60 bucks at 3 PM cant beat it.... pace of play always good, Played portal on Tuesday was sloppy because of the rain and lots of the grass needed a cut...Wanting to get out and play northview but the stupid 4 person booking is a real pain.... Someone always going to bail.... Hopefully kings links opens to public full time soon i really miss that track.
