If he is looking to change or appoint a coach, it should be looking at putting and short game coach.

More or less, his ball striking dipped a little bit towards the end of last season but it's started to return to form this year. His putting is atrocious.

It's disappointing that Adam Scott hasn't done much better. With a swing that just about everyone ranks in the top 2-3 on tour, he just hasn't won that much and certainly with only one major it seems too little. I can understand a young family taking time away from full time golf, but then again a lot of others have dealt with it and had great careers. Even Mickelson, who walked away from a tournament last year for a family function, has more majors.Really like Scott and would just like to see him in contention in more tournaments and especially majors going forward.

He has a ton of ballstriking talent for sure, but there are other guys with great ballstriking who would love to have his career. 20 wins on the two toughest tours, a Major championship, a PLAYERS Championship, 2 WGC wins, 2 FedEx Cup wins. That's a hell of a career.

These type of pros ( loaded) don't play a lot don't want it bad enough

Family takes over, then they get panicked after 3 years went by without any results and it's 10x harder to recapture the magic

Obviously the putter is also a big issue

I'm going to jinx it by posting this but even having sprayed a couple of shots today, he seems to be going pretty good :)

Lots of media reports he was out of sorts because of the birth of his second child, while that may be the case seems he has lost confidence all together. Hits it long still but not nearly as straight and his ball striking has really suffered last 18 months. As everyone knows on here an average putter becomes good when you give yourself great looks over and over. He is consistently 30 ft plus away it seems. And as much attention as his "poor" putting gets to me the weakest point in his bag are wedges. Both from the fairway and around the greens. I'm no expert but don't think it would hurt for him to find a swing coach again just for another set of eyes.

 

 

Scott his currently 5th in strokes gained tee to green. Last season he was 19th.

Interesting to see him working with a new coach. His last 'slump' so to speak seem to coincide with him finishing up with Butch. Then last year he finished up with Brad Malone. Hopefully, another pair of eyes keeping an eye on him will be what he needs :)

I really believe that guys like Scott who have all the talent in the world (but trash short game/ putting) need the desire to be obsessive about their game. non stop grinding and practicing. I just feel like hes comfortable and content. Doesnt have the fire to be in the mix all the time. Could have had a johnny miller type career.

Love Adam Scott for his even keel personality and golf swing which is top five IMO.
