LostGolfBalls.com alternatives?

I've ordered from LostGolfBalls in the past with decent results, but my recent order had a lot of balls in pretty poor shape, and some weren't even the right model. I contacted them and they said they could replace them, but they have since gone quiet. I'll update this post if I ever hear back from them, but as of right now I'm looking for a different vendor to buy from in the future.

edit 2/20 - LostGolfBalls responded today that they are sending replacements. Kudos to them for making it right, would just prefer it happen in a more timely manner.

I ordered from GolfBallsDirect a few years ago, and they were good, but they no longer seem to have as much in stock (no TP5x for example).

Any other options out there these days?

Related question - best way to clean sharpie marks off used balls? So far I've tried nail polish remover, 91% isopropyl, and magic eraser. Magic Eraser was the least effective, nail polish remover got maybe 30% off, and the 91% isopropyl removed about 50%. I've had better luck with 99% isopropyl in the past, but that's become difficult to find. Acetone works if you scrub hard, but it takes the cover paint off too.

Snell. They make great golf balls at an affordable price.

Did you have your heart set on only buying used? If you're open to it I'd strongly recommend Snell and Vice.

Good topic for me as I've been disappointed with the selection at Golfballsdirect.com lately. I have ordered the previous year AAAA ProV's for several years now as they were as good as new at a great price. Haven't seen that offering for a while now.

I have started to see some good stuff from them on social media review wise. Might be my next choice soon

Nice. That looks pretty good. I think I'll give them a shot when it's time for my next order.

Used to be Knet but I think one of the larger companies bought them out.

I think Knet and LostGolfBalls are now the same company.

No preference, just want to play a good ball that doesn't cost $45/dozen. Looks like Snell and Vice are still more expensive than mint condition used, but more affordable than other premium balls. I'll keep them in mind.

Edit: oops I mean a American company owned by Fila a Korean company. My bad.

Come on, Jim Nantes and Aushnetgervitdum (or whatever German company makes titleist) wants you to buy that super shiny, tiny box for $49.99!

One of my good friends buys all of his used golf balls at a local Flea Market. He purchased "Like New" Bridgestones for $12/dozen - and they really are mint condition.

He said the seller has every brand/condition imaginable. I am not in need right now but am still planning on going out there one of these weekends and look at the Chrome Softs.

Never thought that a local FM seller would have such a nice selection - thought I would toss it out there that there might be local options for awesome bargains since everyone has a Flea Market near by them. (Sounds horrible I know....)

golfballs.com runs some great deals on new balls, and RBG has those big "ammo boxes" that are occasionally really good deals on high end balls.

Got my first order from these guys. I got 1 dz Eagle quality and 2 dz Birdie - all 2015 ProV1x. (I had to specify I wanted 2015.)

These balls are legit. I wasn't sure which were the Eagle and which Birdie, and had to look really close to find tiny marks on the Birdie balls. The price was right, and I now have a new source for Titleist balls. Shipping is $6.99 no matter how many many balls you get, and free over $69.

I've had good luck with GolfBallNut.com and their various ebay stores. Their near-mints are usually a good value, but their near-mint tour mix 60-ball mesh bags are a particularly good value. They have them in stock for $30/bag ($6/dozen) for most brands but stock does come-and-go. They also often run free-shipping or 10-20% off codes if you're on their mailing list (which isn't nearly as frequent/obnoxious as most email lists).

To the OP, they do have sorted TP5x for $20 in near-mint or $27 in mint before any codes... if there's a good percent-off code available and you buy deep-enough to get free shipping, you could get near-mints as low as $16/dozen.

Update: Recieved the 5 dozen order from Two Guys within three days via USPS Priority free shipping. Unlike LGB who’s free shipping uses FedEX Smart Post that takes up to seven business days. Upon opening the box, I was fairly surprised to see the balls were not packaged loose! These guys actually have their own custom ball sleeves. A nice touch. Next, I found a hand signed letter. Again, not necessary but a nice touch. The balls quality is similar, if not maybe a touch below LGB (and this would be me really nitpicking). The photo below depicts the eagle 5A quality that I recieved. Notice in the mix there were several different ProV generations. Finally, like a bonehead, I ordered ProV1’s not ProV1x’s. After processing my RMA, I recieved an automated reply and within the same day CS sent me an email with a return label. The service for Two Guys is truely several cuts above LGB. Also, I found that if you want no logo balls, you can add that in your order notes and Two Guys will do so for free! I placed another order for ProV1x’s and if all goes swimmingly, I’ll officially switch from LGB to Two Guys.
