I am not posting the ad for a few reasons. One, the situation between myself and the buyer has been resolved. Two, I don't want the buyer to be hurt by this situation, and three, general privacy.

Complete BS. If this auction actually took place, which at this point seems unlikely, how would the buyer be hurt? Buyer IDs are hidden on Ebay. Nobody here would know who he/she is. And the privacy issue you claim is a flimsy claim as nodody knows who you or the buyer are. The reason you are not linking to it is because it never happened.

 

I'm glad I'm not a lefty and won't be tempted to do any kind of deal with the OP.

I'm a lefty. I wound never purchase from him even if it was a club I was looking for and needed. Too much drama and faux bs in this thread alone. Interesting how many "new" members or people with very low post counts here seem to end up in situations like this.

 

Lets look at the "facts" of his post. Using his sale number of $550+ as a base after his Ebay/Paypal fees of 13%(~71.50), refund of $200 and shipping (likely $20 for a set of irons) this guy on a $550 sale (using his numbers) is going to take a nearly $300 haircut on a $550 sale in fees/refund/shipping because some buyer didn't realize that clubs have shafts bands on them. Seriously how do people come up with this stuff?

 

Wonder if this is an alias of Silicon Valley Dale not wanting to pay shipping on the Srixon golf balls.

I don’t want to throw everyone into the same basket but I wish there was a way to really verify the age of anyone that participates in the BST. I know I for one would have a lot more peace of mind knowing that I’m not buying, trading, or selling with anyone under the age of 18.

Agreed, If you can’t open a PayPal account without your parents help then you certainly shouldn’t be allowed to participate in the BST. If anything just for everyone else’s protection. It just opens the door for something to go wrong in my opinion.
