Did Jessica Korda Have Plastic Surgery?

Pretty brutal procedure. Hope the recovery goes smoothly.

The brilliance of medical pioneers is amazing. Some Dr just up and said “why don’t we break the jaw, separate it from the skull and since we’re at it....might as well go ahead and break her nose....we’ll get some #4 screws and put it all back together”

Pretty sure that the surgery was for cosmetic reasons. Her nickname was "Goofy", not a good nickname for a young lady, insulting. Her new look is greatly improved, very attractive young lady. Kudo's.

Might be the dumbest thing you’ve said here (cosmetic reasons). Even if it was in jest.

I am serious! Her look is greatly improved how would you like to be called goofy? Previously, she had very little chin. People are vain, I mean everyone. She looks great. This is the age of cosmetics.

Pain eventually goes away.

If I were young an a celebrity in the public eye, and could afford it, I would do the same. Pain is not a big deal.

In some parts of the world short people get their legs broken and stretched by levers (extremely painful). Those who have a nose they don't like get it broken and surgery to where they like it. Some have ribs removed to have a smaller waste, some get butt implants, boob jobs, new teeth, etc, etc. The lists goes on and on.

(

Socrates: Not a dumb statement at all.

I know a number of people who have had extensive work on their nose and said it was because of a deviated septum. The real reason was for a change in the way they looked. They give this excuse because they don't want to appear vain.

The end result is she looks great, I think she is very happy with the out come.

She looked good before and she looks good now.

And you don't know what the heck you are talking about. People don't get major jaw surgery for cosmetic reasons.

In another post you said "previously, she had very little chin". A chin implant would be way less severe than having 27 screws in your jaw.

You have no clue what you're talking about.

I have to wonder about society as a whole, and the recent prevalence to tell people how stupid they are. Any opinion that is offered an attack soon follows of how stupid that opinion is. Because you don't agree with the opinion a venomous attack of the opinion shows how shallow people are, and self important.

If you don't like what I say, there is no need to lambaste. I have not said you are stupid for your opinion. So let me say in reply to your negative replies; pi** off.

It ceases to be opinion when it is clear why the surgery was done and you’ve made a ridiculous statement that appears to be just mean. Then you double down on it rather than admit you were wrong. If you’re looking at how shallow and self important people are and don’t like it, you should walk away from the mirror.

If Korda’s Surgery was about vanity then there are about a dozen world class plastics guys right down the road in Miami and another 50 in L.A. that could have made her Victoria’s Secrets Model level beautiful with a lot less broken bones and screws.

Hell, those two goofball surgeons on E! That fix all the bad cosmetic surgery could have done her right in one episode.

What I find interesting is that in her first tournament out, she is steamrolling the field. That strongly suggests she is feeling great. I'm among the people who are kind of weirded out by the procedure but what are you gonna do. It's not totally uncommon. I know someone who underwent a similar thing, to similar effect.

Watching the coverage yesterday from certain angles I saw some glimpses of the old Jessica, that's kind of reassuring.

"She also developed sleep apnea."

"Doctors said jaw surgery was the only way to correct the severe overbite that caused her to use only 20 percent of her teeth when she chewed."

Having an overbite so bad you only use 20% of your teeth is a pretty good reason to get surgery. And if we are going to start assuming things like she did it for cosmetic reasons, it's pretty reasonable to assume that the overbite cause a few other issues, which makes the surgery a totally reasonable thing to do.

Jessica's nickname was based on her on course behavior, as a nod to the Disney character Goofy. It had nothing to do with her looks. She was often goofing around on the course between holes.

To think that a player would put themselves through that level of pain simply to alter their looks is, well, goofy.

I could definitely tell something was up... I have to say, she was pretty before, but she looks great now! I have some serious sinus issues but I don't think I could have my face mashed in just to fix it all...LOL tough kid she is. Will be interesting to see if she continues this kind of dominance... Will be rooting for her!

I follow the LPGA very closely and am a big fan of Jess. Having met her last year, she was genuinely engaging, telling me thank you several times, a couple high-fives, then topped it off with a good-bye hug. Hugely talented and super likable! And, not once have I heard her use her condition as an excuse. Her win was nothing short of MIRACULOUS given what she has gone through!

No one said that you were stupid.

I said you had no idea what you were talking about, because you didn't.

We said that your statements were stupid, because they were.

You repeatedly stated that Jessica had this surgery for cosmetic reasons, despite having no evidence for this and every report saying otherwise.

You said she "had very little chin" and that people called her goofy because of her looks, which isn't true.

If you don't want people to attack your statements, don't make statements attacking others with no evidence to support your claims.

Brutal surgery, but the side benefit is a shape change in her face. Before...ya, she did have a lack of a chin, that's just reality. Number one, it's about being pain free. If theres side benefit of looking more like a model...good for Jessica Korda. Not saying it's important to look like a model, just saying it doesn't hurt.

Patrick Bateman: I'm on a diet.

Jean: What, you're kidding, right? You look great... so fit... and thin.

Patrick Bateman: Well, you can always be thinner... look better.

That sums it up
