I'm not certain, but since he's part of the new breed, probably 45 inches. All the kids have their driver that long it seems.

I think remember seeing an article about him using a 42" driver a while back. (edit: actually it was Jimmy Walker)

I've been playing mine "short" at 44.5in for a couple years, but just for grins I threw a 3W shaft in one of my drivers last night and it felt awesome at 43in. I'm going to take it out to the range this week and see how well it works.

Anyone know what it Is? Always intrigues me to see the different lengths and same swing speeds still achieving the same distances. Like Tiger with 44". I'm assuming JTs is fairly short only being 5'10.

Tiger is 44 inches? Thought I recalled him playing around 45 inches. Either way it doesn't change the fact that most OTR drivers are way too long.

There is an article by golf.com written at the farmers insurance from a few weeks ago has it at 44 inches. He played 43.5 inches for most of his career. I linked it above.

There’s a thread here with some pros spec sheets for their builds. I think Tigers driver was 45.25”.

There is literally an article written from the farmers a month ago stating tigers driver is 44 inches. He also played 43.5 almost all his career. I have also seen an interview of him saying his driver has and will never be over 45 inches.

There is also an article from the same time saying when he went down to 44.25 he lost to much distance. He said 44.5 was ideal mix. It was in the long club testing interview he did with Jon Wall.

I'm quoting Eldrick himself in an interview and you're quoting Nova6868 from Golfwrx. I think I trust Tiger a little more. The man has literally said he has never played a driver greater than 45 inches.

The Jon Wall article was an interview with Tiger. The Golf article was a quote from Taylormade. Tiger also said he used a 45 inch with Nike but would lose it to much. I don't think it is a stretch to say he had them make longer drivers to try. The 45.25 may have never made into a tournament but that easily could have been one he had made that week.

Oh Lord ok I'm sure he's used a 48 inch driver before but not in anything that mattered so yes I'm sure he's had one made but like you said it's never seen anything that mattered, certainly not garnered a major victory for him.

I'm only correcting what these guys are implying that he used anything over 45" as a regular driver length.

When he switched back to the Matrix, they specifically said it was 44" when he was on the range.

Love how a thread about JT's driver length turns into a discussion about Tiger's driver length :D

I’m 5’10” and 44” driver has worked really well for me. I’ve yet to see a decrease in distance, just an increase in smash factor, and tighter dispersion. I’m sure that one inch helps putting the ball on sweet spot on the ball more consistently, and would result in better results across the board by giving up an inch.

*also confidence changes when over the ball, 1/2” I noticed but not too much. 1” standing over ball felt great (playing at 44”)
