Past performance isn't necessarily indicative of future performance, but TW has been in the top two 68 times and won 44.

65% win rate.

How many of those was he leading coming into Sunday? You might want to check out his win rate when NOT IN THE LEAD coming into Sunday. This is including second. It's not good at all.

Apparently his record is 62/69 when he's either leading or within a shot. So take out the "leading" 54 wins from both totals. That leaves 8 wins in 15 attempts while trailing by a shot after 3 rounds. A 53% win rate is pretty damn good in that situation, but as we know the guy has a lot of mental baggage to overcome tomorrow.

Love and adoration. At least that's how the golf announcers refer to Tiger.

Let's see, a swearing, spitting guy on the course. Screwed prostitutes with the wife and babies at home. About overdosed on pills before putting his car into action.

I guess if that's so deserving of love and adoration, I'd like to see the media's definition of anything else. Amazing. But, for the ratings.

I'm not sure I'm following your post. His personal life is his own, just like yours and mine are for each of us. If you love and appreciate quality golf and what TW achieved playing the game, maybe you can cheer for that. If you're above any and all transgressions, maybe you can do the research and find a sinless, awesome player to cheer for. Good luck!

Are Rory and Spieth paired for Sunday?

Exactly the type of remark the front running Tiger fans love to make. Have to chalk it up to not having a band wagon to jump on the last few years. I'm going to guess like a lot of the guys on this thread you've spent all weekend looking online for a used Tiger head cover. Just so people will think you stayed true all the while.

That is impressive, for sure. I thought I read somewhere he was not that good when out of the lead. Thanks for that info.

grm24: I don't understand your post, Pickard had 25 PGA wins, and 8 other wins. Sneed I believe had a total of 81, no telling how many that were not PGA. How would Tiger be tied at T22. I must be missing something.

tomorrow should be interesting, a lot of people in the hunt, no room for many mistakes.

Tiger has 26 come from behind wins on the PGA Tour. Come from behind being defined as not in the lead after the 3rd round. Just Tigers come from behind wins would tie him with Henry Picard on the PGA Tour all time wins list. Per the PGA Tour Sam Snead has 82 wins.

That's only within a shot though. Much easier to come back in that scenario than if you're 2-5 shots back (or worse lol). His record when he's more than a shot behind is obviously much worse than that. To be honest I am surprised he has only been in that one shot situation 15 times after 54 holes. Kind of interesting trivia by itself.

Tiger's short game looks so good now; it's like the days of old.

Also, my own pat myself on the back moment, I said Tiger needed to go back to the stinger 2 iron off the tee and look where we are :)

That was vintage Tiger ball striking. He really didn't putt well. He can win the Masters if he can keep that up.

Not sure he wins master with that putting. He has lost many masters missing putts inside 10 feet. It looks like the same old pattern for Tiger. Make the long 20ft+ where they're is less pressure and expectation but miss the 8 footers. I think he still has nerves standing over the ones he is thinks he should be making. Butch was right, he still has nerves.

You must be watching a different tournament. Tiger's putting has been rock solid. You realize pros miss 8-footers sometimes, right? Maybe they all have nerves.

From what I saw on TV, the make % is about 49% for 8 feet.

Here come the "false positive" responses or whatever. They are going to say Tiger was tee'd up in the wrong part of the tee box for an accurate reading.

He has 79 wins. How many of those wins did he get when he was not in the lead Sunday?

Probably more than any other players TOTAL career wins besides a small handful in the whole history of the game.

26 - Those wins alone would place him at T22 with Henry Picard on the All Time PGA Tour win list.

Lot of conflicting numbers here. I know how great he was with the lead, but don't remember him being a great closer. Lots of guys did gag when paired with him on Sunday tho, so you may be right...

I don't think Tiger will close it out tomorrow. He can't seem to make the big putts right now. Corey Connors is your champion

Maybe he will, but I dont think the odds for him are very good for lack of experiece

He's paired with Rosie, with Sneds and Tiger right behind and all of em are breathing fire.

Not matter who wins, (but Im hoping Tiger does), Its gonna be a great Sunday.

No that is only 8/15 when he is a single shot behind. He has OTHER wins involving bigger comebacks. For instance, both of his victories in the PLAYERS Championship involved a 2 shot comeback after 54 holes.

Tiger has 320 starts of a professional (11 as an amateur) on the PGA Tour. 263 times he was in 2nd place or lower going into the final round. He has won 26 of those events. Essentially a 10% winning percentage. Not many players in the history of the game that have a 10% winning percentage period.

Hmm..no. Plenty of legitimate 130+ mph readings in the past 2 years. In terms of false positives, Billy Horschel swung one at 140+ last year.

I wouldn’t waste your time responding to people like this. One thing I’ve learned over the years is it seems that the people who crucify others for their mistakes like they have made none themselves have the darkest secrets to hide.

How many of you have been to Innisbrook and seen the 1st at Copperhead? It is a benign looking hole that invites players to go long. And it will set the tone for the day. If Tiger is going to win tomorrow he needs to birdie that first hole. (You all know how there are some holes that just invite a great score - and this is one of them)

But, and I have said this in the thread a couple of times already - the weather tomorrow is going to be a factor. Cool and raining. Cannot help but wonder how Tiger's back and knees will perform under that kind of weather conditions. (I know I hurt more that's for sure)

I honestly believe if he gets off to a fast start with a bird on 1 and can remain loose he'll be hard to beat.
