Why would you wish that? Lousy sportsmanship to the nth degree. Woods would never root for that kind of nonsense as he would want Cooners to play well but not quite as well as himself.

I learned a very long time ago that trying to predict how another person will play the difficult game we love is pure folly. It goes at least as far back as to the days when Golf Digest would give odds

on various players winning the majors. Looking back at those predictions, after the event was concluded, and seeing what was said about a player's chances was always great fun!

 

Still folly and fun go hand and hand at times to be sure :)

 

Thus in the spirit of both I will say the player I keep thinking about winning is Rose. I know some think his game is "boring" but that might just be the ticket today. One man's boring is another man's

steady. He certainly has the length and putting prowess to win.

 

Should be great fun in any event!

Great to see TW back in form and defying the haters who said he'd never be back. He's the favorite to win at this point, but Rose and Snedeker are both vets and they won't make it easy. I still think TW will come out ahead after 18.

 

One guy that has no chance IMHO is Conners, he's about to learn what it's like to play against TW on a Sunday. He'll be lucky to break 80.

 

No he won't. Conners might not win. But his game is built for this. He'll be fine.

It's amazing to see how much Tiger owns golf, folks. When he's doing his thing it's like nothing else matters.

 

And you'd better get used to this because Tiger is 100% back. There is no telling what he'll accomplish this year, and it creates a fascinating dynamic as the new generation of studs tries to hold onto their standing in the game. What a crazy year.

They worship other legends of the game too. Let's not pretend the guy hasn't been more scrutinized than anyone in the history of golf. Brandel Chamblee has made a pretty good living of nitpicking the hell out of Tiger's golf swing for the last 10+ years.
