Very nice. Who did the rechroming? Ironfactory?

Pretty sure they haven't been re-chromed, what would be some tell tell signs?

 

For white cameos, the paintfill on the sole is incorrect, and the same for the missing black paintfill on the scoring lines on the face. With limited play, that should still be there.

 

Seems odd for those differences for clubs that have had minimal play. Regardless, they are great irons. FYI, I have 2 sets of the white cameos with both the red and green striped ferrules and both have the same paintfill on the soles and faces.

 

While Hogan irons are certainly high quality offerings with many virtues, durable paint fill isn't one of them. Pretty much every Hogan iron I've bought, even those with light play, have needed some amount of paint touch up. Red sole numbers are rarely intact.

If the irons were "mint" as described by the OP, there would still be the black paintfill in the face grooves. I have 2 sets of Apex IIs that have been used but not abused and yes, the red paintfill is worn, but still partially there in the numbers and the "II", and the black paintfill in the grooves is still there as well.

 

For the face grooves to be devoid of the black paintfill indicates to me that the heads were rechromed. Why would someone go through the trouble on a "mint" set of irons to remove the black paintfill on every iron head? Doubtful.

According to a club collector's video I recently watched, Slazenger Hogans were of Stainless. Perhaps that's the case here and might explain the freshness of the surface and the lack of paint. Just guessing as the pics are gone. I am curious though.
