LTD Pro - the quest to launch it higher

Mildly related... If you want to change the sound and feel of the LTD, give it the cotton ball or batting treatment. Stuffing the head made my LTD so solid. Even my less equipment-informed friends noticed the difference.

 

The added weight was nice, since I wanted to try it at 43.5" anyway. ;)

For little more than you spent on the Fubuki, you could try out the standard F6 head. With the weight forward, the cg is considerably more fade-biased than the LTD Pro. It should launch higher and spin more, with the added benefit of more MOI, plus you can still use the Rogue if you like it. It does have a more upright lie and its much bigger visually, but it feels/sounds great. Just another low-cost option...

To expand on this, I think I am going to move to polyfill in my LTD this week instead of hotmelt. I have hotmelted my LTD Black 3 times and each time the hotmelt lets go during cold weather play. The last time I weighted it was week before last. All was good until today at lunch, with temps in the high 30s, where pieces of the hotmelt were splintering off inside and rattling around. I removed the spaceport and dumped the pieces out each time. Must have lost a couple of SW points through 20 balls! The hotmelt I use is the cartridge from Hotmelt.com which is supposed to be for golf club use. Not sure if it's the glue or the fact that the inside of the LTD is painted. It is far less porous than the inside of other clubheads I have seen the insides of. Regardless, it's annoying at the very least.
