Went today.

Highlights I saw

Paul Casey had a meltdown and beat his club against a bridge and a sprinkler head. (Ball went into the water...)

 

Ian poulter is an awesome putter.

 

Ollie Scnederjans beat up a sand bunker.

 

Zach Johnson is VERY talkative with Stewart Cink!

 

Pretty course. Caboluque Club is where it's at!

 

Oh and saw Geoff Ogilvy and Jason Duffner at a Mexican place. At night

Man, Bryson DeDouchbag and Poulter near the top doesn't inspire me to watch.

Poor course management by BD. Short par 5, hits his tee shot in the right rough and instead of punching out and having a wedge in for his third, he tries to slice it around the trees. Only he hits a double-cross OB. With his 5th shot, he tries to hit a miraculous flop shot, but comes up short. Walks off the green with a triple...and he had just birdied the first hole.

 

All he had to to was punch out and he have a wedge into the green, with a legitimate chance at birdie. Instead, he tries the low percentage shot. I can understand it it's match play, but stroke play? You have the lead and you just birdied the first hole, and then you walk off the second hole with a triple?

 

I was under the impression BD's approach to the game was scientific. There wasn't anything scientific about the way he played five. From a two shot lead, to down by one.

 

I will be curious to see how he re-covers from that triple.

Lol! It's one thing to hit a poor shot, everyone hits those on occasion, but stupid decisions on the course are easily avoided, regardless of you level of play.
