Tighten the bicep strap while you have some flex in your bicep, pretty tight, but not so it cuts off blood flow. Tighten the bottom strap as tightly as you can handle. Always and only use it set on HALF. Some of the best players in the world use this training aid and it’s the best one I’ve ever seen for getting width.

>

> You can’t maximize power without width, end of story! Never seen a powerful player on Tour that had a narrow backswing and adding width will help you load behind the ball better/easier too ????.

>

Went out today for a round and a LOT better shots. Obviously I am not fully trained about the width / right arm.....but the feeling from the 100 or so swings I did inside of my home was in the back of my mind. Few bad shots always lead to more disaster, but that was a mental issue of not remembering the feeling of the Right Angle 2.

Swing felt really short, compact, shallower on the downswing and more powerful. Driver is still pathetic, but I'm sure its a user-error.

Really like how I felt my wrists c0ck a the top of the short, wide backswing. felt good and on-plane.

What happens if the Right Angle 2 is set for another setting besides 1/2 for the full swing? I haven't moved it and don't want to mess up any progress.....just curious why half setting and not full setting for full shots?

That makes perfect sense. Let me also ask you.....do you focus on getting the right shoulder high for the backswing?

I mention these two drills because the golf swing shirt helps you stay connected and release the club, but it won’t stop you or prevent you from taking it too far inside on the backswing.... Ballard even told me he agrees with that.

I like the drill where back is to wall, helps width and keeps club in front, no s#cking inside. But what is the "right glove" on mean?

Seems to me on the best strikes, the left arm is passive and connected, right arm is free to swing wide and high, and right hand/arm springs the shaft and hits the sh*t out of it without trying to lag it at all. the practice swing with back against wall is a great idea, Mr 97speedster.

5:30 of that video.....doesnt look like the Right Angle 2 would fit with exactly what JB is teaching. Backswing (even for a full shot) is very close and narrow aka no power or width.

Is this true @97speedster ?

Are you commenting on the greatest players, or yourself, or all of the above?

I learned the JB swing from Bill Abrams. He was down in Parkland @ Heron Bay winter 2018 and I took a few lessons from him. Of course after taking the lessons, I went back to my old ways.

I still text him weekly, as he has turned into a friend. Didn't get to see him this winter, but will when he comes back down.

He does have some new video content

Jim McClean on Couples I think confirms a lot of Ballard fundamentals. Looks like Butch was trying to lesson his arm lift as well.
