Was a change of plans and played silver wing today instead of blue devil.

 

Greens were not bad, little slow to be expected. Course had some wet spots (only mayfly and firefly open)

Lots of bunkers with water in them still

If anyone in the Calgary area is looking for a game on Friday (April 5th), I'm available. Otherwise I book a single at Blue Devil. May try to get out Friday, Saturday afternoon and Sunday mid-morning (all weather permitting, of course)

Thanks, good experience? I’ve read they mostly fit for ping, surprised you got srixons!

Good experience. I'll likely go back for a driver/wood fitting. Kale (not kale_m) was the one who did the fitting.

 

Actually, they asked what I was interested in. I'm old, and grew up with blades. My criteria was as little offset as possible and a topline that wasn't too thick. I hit the 919 Tours, 2019 Apex, TM 760's and the 785's. Because of wrist and elbow issues, I also requested graphite shafts. It came down to the Recoil Smacwrap 95's. The 785's were butter and had the window I wanted. To be perfectly honest, I could game any of them.

My buddy just did a fitting there and got fit into m6 driver m5 3w and the gapr mid

 

He is a plus handicap and gets fit there lots. They don’t push ping.

Kale had the Flightscope unit in the bay when I was fitted, so they have more than just the Trackman.

 

Hoping my irons arrive soon. I've booked myself at Blue Devil on Friday and Boulder Creek on Saturday. Gonna have to call for a time on Sunday.

Yeah, my first concern is Blue Devil today, Spent some time on the range last night after work, shanking a bunch of shots with the new Srixons. :s

What’s the weather like in Canmore in the first part of June? Curious if I will have to wear pants to play in or shorts? Will probably tee off in the morning most likely. I will playing Silvertip or Stewartcreek. Didn’t know if the golf courses were normally colder than town, etc.

Shorts will be fine. It’s usually very nice in June with moderate temps over 15. Enjoy as there will probably be no smoke from fires too!
