Correct. He holed out on #9 from the fairway for eagle.

Speargrass is amazing right now.

 

Greens are perfect. My game, not so much. 10 strokes worse than two weeks ago. I've played the last three holes a combined +9 this year.

Canals is coming along nicely. Much improvement over two weeks ago, even a week. Number 2 will be looking really good again and should open in a few weeks I hope.

Speargrass is always so mint. This summer we will get a wrx meet up out there and play

I assume Bearspaw is a relatively newish course.

Tell me more about the course...do you believe it can survive to stay open in 2020 and beyond.

How much of an initiation did the members get burned for if it shuts down.

I knew a guy who lost $20,000 in 1990/1991? when Royal Woodbine Golf Club, adjacent to Pearson Int'l airport, went bankrupt within 2 years.

Ok 94 reg fee on weekends and 70 bucks for twilight.... cheaper then a lot of courses. Tee times are supposedly going to be limited time for public. At Bearspaw...

Anyone played Silvertip lately, conditions? Google maps says it's an hour and fifteen minutes back to Calgary Airport, would that be realistic on a Thursday around 5pm?

 

Also Silvertip or Stewart Creek?

June 19th .... Big rain here in Sylvan, hope it's done by the weekend, playing in a tourney at Wolf Creek - Old Course.

 

Taken at noon today, 35-36 mm or 1 3/8" so far.

Played Wolf Creek- Old Course in Ponoka, paid $107.00 includes cart. It's a great course love the layout but the greens were in terrible shape, almost all had patches with winter kill, green fees should of been reduced accordingly. No rain, never lost a ball, had lots of Birdie opportunities only made 1, took double on three holes because of my putter, shot 81, came home with a KP & 1 skin, still a fun day.

Played the sirroco men’s open this weekend. Saturday I played the worst golf i have in aBout 5 years.. today came out and striped it for about 13 holes. 1 bad swing that made me a double and I crumbled. But was cruising along nicely for a while.

 

Saturday we got second in the horse race. Missed a 10 foot bird for the lead and possible win then the other team made a 50 foot bird to beat us. Has a chip off for 2nd and 3rd. Other team went first and left it on the lip so I had to chip in to win. And I pulled it off! Crazy finish!

Winston is unreal right now. Easily the best conditions of any course I’ve played in Calgary in several years.

Really, things must have changed with the rain over the past week. I was talking with a member last weekend and they said it was ok but lots of dead spots still. Thats awesome to read,!

Lynx was pretty wet yeasterday but they are coming along and should be great in July. I also like Lynx as the staff there are awesome

Haven't played Lynx Ridge for a very long time. Did enjoy the layout, as I recall.

I've actually NEVER been, mostly due to cost, cause I'm a cheap SOB. But, I snagged a tee time for Saturday afternoon, 3:21, on what appears to be a twilight rate. Super pumped, as I've always wanted to check it out.

I haven't played Inglewood this year, but it's usually in good shape. Good luck on Saturday.

It’s not a bad course.

 

Just find it super loud. With Deerfoot there a a Blackfoot I find all you hear is cars all the time

Went out on a road trip to Rocky Mtn House & played Pine Hills today, wow is this course in great shape one of the fellas said there greens are the best in all of central Alberta, except for #14 it was totally redone but still in excellent condition. I'm not a fan of hole #1, #9 or 18, there either uphill or side hill, didn't play well lost a few balls, but still had fun. If it's on your list go sooner than later, you won't be disappointed. Took a few pic's.

My buddy played there last week and it still was a temp.

 

Played heritage point on Sunday and it was in great shape!
