Redwood Meadows today.

Place is in very nice shape. Greens were very slick and ultra smooth.

Definitely try to get out there before the snow flies of you can.

Really want to get out there, never played there Before. Looks tight from the highway!

 

played Stewart creek today. Place is mint. Such a tough track! Played well to start. Then kinda fell apart. Rates Are dropping now since it is the fall so get out there and play if you have never played it before!

I’m not complaining about September, especially after the early snow last year.

Env Cda suggested snow for the Red Deer area this weekend with a high for Saturday of only +3C. I'm not playing but was told there are over 20 teams who have already paid to play in the Sylvan Lake G&CC **$10K Cash Scramble** @ $640.00/4 man team. First place gets close to $5K. ..... perhaps they should call it the Brass Monkey Cash Tourney!

 

Good Luck fella's .... -15 or lower to win.

where would you guys go in Calgary to get a club reshafted? had an accident with a tree the other day LOL

 

i'd assume golftown is not the first choice?

Wood or iron? If wood, I've had no issues with the Goltown in the NE. Barring that, Ted&Dave at RCGA (Glenmore/Deerfoot) are more than capable. I'll also have more to say about Lyle at Simply Golf once my 7 irons are built

Rcga is good. Those guys do all my club work that I can’t do on my own..

This is something that is sorely lacking in Calgary.

 

I’ve been fortunate enough to spend some time with a fellow from wrx and am hoping to be able to do it myself. It doesn't seem that hard so long as you have the tools. I don't think there is enough of a market for it to be a business, but would be more of a hobby.

Only downside to RCGA, is the hours. My time isn't flexible enough to get down there on weekdays before 5:00 pm.

Take it to GT south calgary, dude in the pro shop knows what he is doing. I find the south store to have awesome pro shop guys

They were terrible with my stuff. Heads flew off. Looked like someone took a box cutter to the ferrule of my 3 wood...

 

And if you need something simple like an adapter pulled it takes them a week to do it

thanks for the RCGA recommendation, called and spoke to them, $25.00 for reshaft + grip. Seems expensive but lesson learned!

If you had the 790ud head off & it was cleaned/prepped to install on a b-new shaft that would take me approx. 30-40 minutes of effort to measure to length, cut if necessary, adjust the s/w to your desired spec, prep & epoxy the head, supply/install & clean/polish ferrule & install a new grip and to complete the job check loft/lie & adjust as per spec. If you had to pull the head off an old shaft to re-shaft then 1 hour or more of effort is not unreasonable plus materials/consumables .... grip is extra.

 

Your not getting ripped off at $25.00.
