Hole-in-one letter to ball manufacturers

Recently, my son got a hole in one. Somebody at the club said to write the ball manufacturer and they usually send some swag. In this case it's his favorite - Callaway Chrome Soft. He loves that ball. Anybody else familiar with the ole' hole-in-one letter? I've never gotten an ace....dangit...

When I got mine back in 2005 I wasn't sure what to do and the guys I was with said to contact the manufacture's of the clubs and ball used, maybe they would send you something. I did that and received a bag tag from Titleist (used the 762 iron), a divot tool from Taylormade (used a Noodle ball cause it was in November!) Then I also got a ball marker from the hole in one society for registering it.

It has never crossed my mind that manufacturers do this as I have never come close to a hole in one. I have holed out twice for eagle and once for birdie from 100 to 128 yards....maybe I should try that! I joke. If I ever do get lucky enough to make a HIO I hope I remember to try this.

When my wife got here Ace, i contacted Precept, they sent her a framed certificate and a dozen Precept Lady IQ pink balls.

She hung the dang certificate above my den door, my friends still give me static about that. smh.

I have a nice Wood Plaque from Callaway (CS ball) for my HIO. I also wrote Mizuno (irons) and they sent me a nice high end glove and a frameable certificate, which I framed.

 

The golf course sent me a plaque and they put a brass plate up on the HIO wall display with y name on it.

I got a nice certificate from the PGA that I framed for mine. I have no idea if the pro at the course did it or I registered it with the PGA because it was 8 years ago

I happened to be using a Titleist DT solo when I luckily had a HIO. Someone mentioned I should send the info to them. Was nice to get a metal (bag tag?) and certificate.

 

Even better was they sent me a free sleeve of Titleist Trusoft when they first came out. Not so lucky with those. Lost them in the water before long.

Got my first and only hole-in-one with a Precept Tour Premium (great ball back in it's day). Wrote to Precept and they sent me a certificate and a dozen balls.

This thread makes me want a Hole in One bad. I would love me some manufacturer swag!

 

Ive never made one and before and, never really gave it much thought. My closest to a Hole in One though was less than an inch.

Several of them less than 6 inches.

Titleist sent me a hole in one key chain years ago. Forgot to send in on subsequent aces. Saw this thread and contacted Srixon about a recent ace with irons and ball. Email reply said they would send out a certificate. The days of swag must be over. :)

My last HIO was with Callaway Apex CF16 irons and a Snell ball. I’ve already received a gorgeous Commemorative plaque from Callaway and Snell said they would send me a HIO bag tag.

Got my first this summer! Bridgestone sent me a sleeve of balls and a nice certificate.

PING made me have the course pro fill out a form and have it signed by the people I was playing with, and send a certificate that looked like a secretary printed on a dot-matrix printer from the '80's. A little disappointing after hearing about all the cool swag from other companies.

While playing with my son and two of my company retirees I had an ace on # 3 at Lexington golf club using the Calloway chrome soft golf ball. GOD IS GREAT…

TaylorMade U.K. didn’t even reply to my email - with pics of me holding a Yellow 2021 model TP5X - on the hole where I got a recent HIO.

I had one in 2005 using a Titleist 762 iron and playing a Maxfli Noodle ball.  Titleist sent me a bag tag and Taylormade sent me a divot tool.  I also received a "hole in one society" ball marker but not sure now which company sent that!

Cleveland sent me a certificate and Maxfli/DSG a dozen SoftFli since that's the ball I was using. Pretty cool of them. I had tagged them both on Twitter with the pic of me at the flag and they DM'd me for info.

Callaway sent me a nice plaque with my name, the course name and the hole number. I thought that was really cool.

 

I was kind of numb after I made the hole-in-one, and I promptly just teed up the ball I had used on the next hole. Didn't even occur to me to save it. Lost it two holes later!  Since then everybody asks, "Did you keep the ball? Where is it?" And I'm like, "Well, I know roughly where it is...it's deep in the OB on the left of Hole #14."
