Golfball Hoarders - What brand/how many (dozen)

haha. i feel i used to have a problem but now have it under control.

 

Yeah, just reading DP4's posts makes most of us feel more "under control". It's like a public service for him to post those pictures once in a while.

 

Although I must say, when a big ol' box of balls shows up at my house my wife tends to be remarkably unmoved by my invoking him as a standard of comparison.

Wow! Those look awesome. I am still trying to come to grips with a person who has so many balls. Obviously, you play a lot. How many dozen do you go through in one season?

Lol it’s a big bag. I honestly don’t know why I keep so many on me. I definitely hand a bunch out to playing partners. I lose between 1-3 per round. It’s a sickness that I’m not ashamed of.

When Nike quit making equipment that meant my favorite ball got snipped.

 

So I stocked up on 12 dozen Nike rzn tour blacks (Volt color...I play yellow).

 

I won two straight club championships with that ball and now have to figure out what I should use next. I'm down to a couple dozen.

 

I also binged on those. I might have 18dz left (not all volt) and that's not all in the stash. I stopped buying balls this year except for when ksigs pop up. at the rate I'm losing balls last two weeks I'm a good 5 years in the stash. if it was like yesterday - i'll be relieved of the stash by the end of the year. totally lost my swing. hooks at the wrong time. hit fat at the wrong times. hit pure but had the longer club adjusting for poor impact of the day...at the wrong times. and bad bounces. I felt like I've never been on a course before it was that bad. lol golf gods reclaiming some of the golfballs I'm hoarding.

Let me first admit that I have two serious problems. 1. Costco. 2. Kirkland Signature Golf Balls. Right now, the golf ball closet has 24 double dozen of the KSig and KTrey combined. And that's after giving 6 dozen balls away over the last few weeks.

 

There's probably another dozen or so in the bag, too.

Thank you Sir. Costco messed up an order and sent 3 extra double dozen balls. I've sent them to several WRXers, and picked up the shipping cost. Even North Butte received a dozen balls because of his Costco ball love...uh...non love.

When my swing is on the ball gets 'retired' to my shag bag from being too beat up. When the swing is off....All bets are off it could go anywhere!

 

I havent seen or played a K-sig though. I'm in Northern Canada and thats just not a realistic replacement option for me.

Ive thinned my stash quite a bit. I had 12 dozen Wilson 50 Elites that I ended up selling. But now I have about 6 dozen mixed Taylormade urethane covered balls(Project a, Tour Prefferred and x, Penta, etc), a dozen Top Flite Gamer Tour, plus about 15 mixed balls in my bag. I’ve also started collecting any balls I can find for a shag bag. I’m up to about 25 balls in that bucket right now plus any themst my daughter takes from that bucket. So all in all in my house I probably have 10-12 dozen maybe?
