Stuck on PING s55's

Still enjoying mine.  Picked up a second set in steel shafts to go along with my set with Steelfiber shafts.

 

They perform well and are not wearing much at all.  

 

Super solid.

Can anyone recommend long irons (3-5 or 6) that blend in really well with this set? I have a set of i210's but the offset in those long irons is too much. Currently looking to potentially get the new TM 770's in those long irons, but I'd like to not cross streams, so to speak. Thank you and stay too blessed to be stressed out there lads

I think the i25's blend nicely. I didn't keep it in the 5-6 iron in the i25 because i switched to a 5hy and I hit the 6i better in the s55.  

 

I may mess around with it more in the off season to find something a little easier to launch in the 6 iron.

HWT - If you haven't tried them yet, I think you'll be surprised how easy the 4 & 5 irons are to hit in the S55 model.

This.  All the way to 3i is alot more forgiving than you think.

Try the i500 long irons, i replaced my 4 iron with one of those and i'm happy i did.

So you don’t plan on selling s55 anymore? What shafts are in yours? I’m debating on these or going with a set of mizunos for softer feel. But the s55 do feel pretty soft.

How do you like that mci 100 shaft vs Recoils, Aldila, etc? I like the Fuji TS 95 graphite but have never hit an MCi. Supposed to be pretty nice.

Anytime I start thinking of replacing the S55’s, I have a great iron striking round,  & I cannot quit them.

MC100 feel firmer than the recoil, little less kick, little lower, and tighter dispersion

 

Like a better feeling steelfiber if that makes sense

 

It’s like the steelfiber 95 and recoil 95 and 110’s had a 3 way .... and these babies were the result

 

I have some 120x’s That I traded a member here for .... and am going to use the 8 and 9 and PW shafts in my wedges

yeah, sooner or later I am going graphite. Reason I asked is I find they vary so much. Your description sounds great. I feel too much kick in Recoils and Steelfiber feels firm. The Steelfiber FC supposed to be different. I really like the feel of the Fuji 95 TS and thought the MCI might have a somewhat similar feel. Thanks!

I have s55's 4-PW blue dot tour issue DG shafts. Sold my p790's last year and went back to these. Such a solid club with no surprises. Turf interaction is simply a joy.

14 GIR today and 73 in an event, course 73.8 / 135 with insane pins ... scratch play with s55’s ... just when I thought I was out they pulled me back in 

 

7 to pw a lock .. a larger s55 in the 6i could interest me ... like an i500 that was actually good

 

I am way less prone to go A little left with MCI vs Recoils ,,,, slow learner program it seems

Sounds like a S56 or S57 could do the job for you. Great round!

I had the 59 ... 58 ... 57 ...56’s and iblades... I want a smaller sgi 6 iron .. not hollow though  ... that has some length heel to toe ... no super wide sole either
