I do not understand all the people that think Spieth is a choker. He is one of the most clutch people in sports imo. If he feels off tomorrow he will battle and be there with a chance to win at the end, where everyone else would fall off early and lose by about 5. Anyone that has played competitive golf knows that pressure is nothing when your playing well but makes a HUGE difference if your not confident. Spieth is able to battle under pressure even if he is playing poorly (in his masters ‘collapse’ he was hitting the ball terrible all year) NO ONE else would have been able to handle the pressure enough to have a chance late into Sunday if they were that uncomfortable with their ballstriking.

The Greats of every sport are not the ones that win every time they are close. They are the ones that are able to handle the pressure enough when they are off their A game to make it close at the end.

Jack finished 2nd in a major more than he finished 1st

I’m not saying Spieth will win tomorrow but I think he will give himself a better chance of winning than anyone else could in the same position.

Am I the only one here expecting something remarkable from Francesco Molinari tomorrow? He's been playing well under pressure recently and paired with Tiger the two might get some serious golf going on.

Spieth came off like a jerk when he said "I don't get paid to do this announcing" when reviewing other golfers on the course.....im sure he was kidding, but his dry personality came off kinda awkward

Loved it! Steve Sands is a tool. He should have told him to STFU.

I think tiger would be the most interesting Victor because it gets him to 15 majors, and with wind at his back, then within clear striking distance of nicklaus.

Spieth would be 2nd most compelling figure because he would clearly elevate to most dominant player in the majors, and if it comes against tiger when he's playing well, a (slight) passing of the torch from one era to the next.

After that I don't find the other contenders all that interesting...no offense, may the best man win who ever holds the claret at day's end.

I don't think anyone has really called him a choker. I know I didn't mean to imply anything close to that with my post. He's certainly pulled off more late round fireworks than he's had flops. But it is difficult to completely forget about what happened at Augusta, it was just so spectacular that it's very, very memorable.

I hope he runs away with it tomorrow.

I realize a lot of people like you are joking about it because it was memorable but I know some people really believe it.

As much as Tiger winning would be amazing, it's just not going to happen. He doesn't have that "it" factor in clutch major moments like a Jordan Spieth does. He squeezed every last bit of that lemon up over 10 years ago. I just hope he just doesn't F it up completely and manages to finish no worse than where he is now. T6 or better will get him into Firestone where I definitely CAN see him winning this year.

Lol. Tiger winning might be greatest story but him overpowering or intimidating anyone is done news in 2018. Wake up guys.

TW rattles off 5 birdies on the front we will see who is or isn't rattled.....

tigers not rattling off 5 birdys on the front. 3 would be solid tho. And another 3 on back would make it interesting but he has shown to have the 2 or three bogeys to stall his round this year

Anyone think Tiger is actually injured for real right now? His distance seemed off to me.

Maybe just smooth swings and I’m imagining it?

Another option: too much Balvenie this evening while rewatching the broadcast.

looks minty mint

I just watched TW on 14. 521 yards. Hits a high fade driver and “only” carries it 265-270. Has 217 in and flies it on the front with a 6i.

Didn’t Rory hit it like 400 on that hole?

Maybe a wind direction change?

I’m rooting for TW to take it, obvi.
