Oh my God. Now it's the Jeep Cherokee wind gauge?!

The American Consumer is one of the most ignorant creatures to ever walk the earth. Big Corp knows it's prey.

Do you guys have to pay for the GC or is it fully funded by the advertisers? Sounds really painful to watch their coverage.

Excerpt from some of the online commentary:

"Sport is in New Yorker Julian Suri’s blood. His father Jagan was the great-grandson of Buchi Babu Naidu, a socialite who was a prime mover of the development of cricket in India. The 27-year-old Suri has one European Tour victory to his name - the 2017 Made in Denmark - and was runner-up at the recent French Open. He’s taken that form into this championship: rounds of 74, 69 and 70, and now birdies today at 1, 5 and 7. He’s currently the hottest property out on the course, the only man three under for his round today. He’s -3."

I have no idea why they keep calling him a New Yorker. He’s lived in North Florida since he was a kid.

Is the wind a factor

They keep talking about how windy it is, but I don't see any evidence of that on TV. It's not like flags and players pants are whipping in the wind.

Seems to be around 10mph but gusting up to 18-20mph. Looks quite unsteady but nothing the pros couldn't manage.

Winds should pick up a bit as the day goes on. Now it should start to be a bit more breezy already. Should be at the max when the leaders tee off(22). Enough wind to make things more interesting. Course managment will be important. Can't chase birdie on every hole like yesterday or you might get punished

I’m sure it’s fully funded but we still have to pay. Haha. It is a premium channel on Xfinity(Comcast).

It is painful. It's not the ads I mind, it's the same ads over and over and over and over and over...

Fake news! Interesting family history though. Good to see him going well today.

And how many times will we hear "Jeep Cherokee Wing Gauge" today? Every chance they get is how often.

Kind of similar to the "nails on the chalkboard" like Minolta Swing camera thing on CBS with Kostis.

Can you get Sky Sports or something else European that shows golf? There are a few streams one can find from different web sites but the quality of the streams varies a lot.

Edit: I have Fox Sports (Australia) and I get about five minutes of ads per hour and no talking heads or wind cauges or nothing like that at all. Sometimes they also broadcast the Golf Channel content which is only good for motivating one to switch off the tv and go play outside.

Yes. I love Rickie but if I see that mortgage commercial one more time. As bad as TV is in the states radio is 100 times worse. I have the volume down and cant understand what they’re saying. I read the captions only occasionally so that helps.

Caught about 2 minutes this morning before leaving the house. Looks like sunny, benign conditions today? Some low scoring today?

Not unless you buy one of those international computer address services to disguise your location. I have excellent speed and stream NYRA and NHL.tv. Would love to have both Sky and Box Nation. I may look into it deeper later in the year depending on how things go with my re-up with Xfinity in Nov. But yeah I hear Sky Sports is wonderful.

When I'm not home I watch from cricfree.tv and sometimes from livetv.ru but I don't think they are authorized so the streams tend to come and go a bit. Need to plug the computer to a TV, though, as the laptop screen I have isn't good enough for TV.

Kinhult getting a good start. He's having a good season on the European Tour. As a Finn it annoys me that Sweden keeps pushing new talents to the tour year after year and all we have is two guys named Mikko.

Edit: Time for the Tour de France to take over for a while. Hoping for a short stage...

I like Tapio Pulkannen's swing though.

Judging by Fleetwood's hair, the wind seems to be picking up ;)

The broadcast I watch shows little arrows every now and then and what was not so long ago around 10mph gusting 16-18mph is now 18mph gusting up to 24mph.
