Has anybody seen what the i210 wedges look like? I always like i-series irons until I look at the wedges, to my eye they just look sort of stubby, rounded and spoon like. Probably unlikely that they've made any significant changes from the i200's.

Beginning of thread....pics of all irons in set minus the Utility wedge

i210 is a littler longer with more spin (control) and softer feel. Sounds like a winner.

guy annoys me for some reason

I can see that. He's a bit robotic in his delivery compared to Crossfield and Shiels, but I think he offer a fair assessment and quality data.

Hit these and the i500 today, both with Modus 105x. I210 looks awesome, and was definitely softer then my i200. 172 about every time with the 7 iron. Flushed a few that felt as good as any Forged iron I've ever hit.

I500 is maybe the best looking iron out. It's just badass looking. Feel was fine, soft with some pop, a little clicky. I was getting 177 with the seven iron, but had quite a few that went 194. This is what I feared, they can be super long just like my p790s were. They are so damn cool looking I'm tempted to try a set anyways.

Will probably go i210, but who know. Both awesome irons.

I'm with you except I did not experience the outlier shots with the i500's on the course. I loved everything about the i210's but pretty sure I am going to keep my i200's 6i-Gap since they are in great shape and go with the i500 3-5i. I would ideally play the iBlade but not sure it would do me any good, they just look great paired with the i500's.

I was fit into the Nippon as well. I have always played a PX 6.0 for 20 years i have looked at a stepless shaft. so its going to be different.

But the moment they put the Nippon on there, the peak height, dispersion, and spin and got wicked good, and I was not able to get anything before hand. It was crazy.

Being that he had his trackman with him on our range, It is amazing to see how much speed I am losing year to year as I age (43) 4 years ago i was 116..just last year I was above 110.. now I am still able to get it out there, but i am belowe 110 even if I step on it. and its funny that when I step on it now, my speed goes up 1 MPH at most 2.... I just dont got it anymore.

Those of you who have hit both... Which did you find more forgiving? Being a current G iron player and a I series player in the past. Only reason I switched was due to lack of play that I used to get before kids... The G's are just ugly, hard to argue with the performance tho

i found the i210 to be more forgiving on bad swings with my limited time testing both in feel, accuracy, and distance.

Hit the i210 today and man, they feel great. Better than the i500 and it wasn’t really close. That said, I yearn for the offset and distance of the i500 but maybe power spec i210 are for me.

I’m still going round and round on what to get as I’ve been cut loose by the wife on a new set. P790 vs i210 vs 0311P.

You can still order a new set from Ping.

It was my understanding that ping doesn’t sell direct to consumers. I went into 3 stores this weekend and all said they are out of stock and unable to get them.

I hope I’m wrong

FYI the i200 has been completely discontinued for any new special orders. :telephone:

Any idea where I may find some non special orders?

I hit both the i500 and i210 today with dynamic gold x100's in both. (i'm a former competitive golfer, ss 112-114 w driver, hit a high draw with a lot of spin) I also pulled out a 718 ap2 for comparison. they also had a i200 so I put them side by side to compare the looks. the topline and shape of the 210 is far more pleasing to my eye. performance wise the 210 and the 500 felt better than the ap2 to me (the ap2 feels very 'hard' to me). on trackman I hit plenty of shots that I felt would have gone left with too much draw but both straightened out my ball flight a little (i'm currently using some old bridgestone tour premium with s400s) now some of that was the shaft of course but the 500 especially went straighter than i'm used to. flight was about the same as my current irons on the 210 and a touch higher with the 500. the 500 indeed went further but about what you would expect given the stronger lofts. i'm sold on both and I think i'll be getting 3-5 stock lofts on the 500 and 6-w power spec on the 210 (50,55,60 wedges to fill out the bag). So these will be my first ping irons and my first try at 'forgiving' irons since the 845s when I was 16. I guess we'll see how they perform on the course.

I was in on the Glide forged until I saw the price tag. $200 each? I don't get it. No thanks Ping.

Prices are getting a bit crazy. They are $279 in Canada bucks. That is just shy of a G note once you account for tax, if you play three wedges. I guess when people are prepared to pay what amounts to $225 per iron (again CDN) for off the rack preorder i500s its not unsurprising. The market is definitely skewing to the premium. Call it the pxg effect, but with the success of the bonkers priced epic line, and clubs like the p790, there doesnt appear to be a market correction coming anytime soon.

Already have an order in for i210s. I really like my i200s, but from everything I have read, watched, and heard from my Ping rep, the i210s are softer, launch a fraction higher, and spin a little more. Sign me up. Also, I really like that Ping did away with the number on the toe.

Can't wait to get these in hand.
