Apples to apples, is anyone seeing a loss in distance going to these?

I went from ie1 to i210 with the same exact shafts, and specs. I haven't noticed any distance loss.

i am thinking of upgrading from ie1. Do you feel they are better performing (distance accuracy gains) or just cleaner looks softer feel?

That was going to be my question. Love my ie1s but curious on the i210s.

Have a set of i200s (Project X 6.0; standard L/L/L) being delivered tomorrow and i210s (True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100; power spec/standard L/L) being delivered soon. Will compare on GC2 + HMT and advise my thoughts, but not expecting many differences. The custom Ping Glides won't be here until December...

worth the upgrade? I currently play the Ie1 so I am just curious.

If you're looking for a real tangible performance upgrade, I'd say no. If you just want new and shiny, absolutely :)

Pulled the trigger on a lightly used set of i210s on eBay yesterday and looking forward to putting them in play this weekend :)

I have a set of S55s that are just awesome, but shiny is what shiny is, and there's a 30 day return on them, so let's see how they do!

Can someone post a picture of the hydro pearl 2.0 coming off? I am super interested in these irons but that seems to be the one thing that is pushing me away

Had mine since August. The finish is about what I expected. Mostly gone on the sole, but still looks fine on the face and cavity. Looked amazing out of the box, but I still like how they look.

If you scrub these with a green Scotch Brite pad all over, will it do a good job of removing the Hydropearl 2.0 and then giving a nice satin brushed look? I want to have these clubs for the long haul without looking halfway beaten up and halfway new. If they are gonna get scuffed, I'd prefer for them to look uniformly scuffed.

Not sure, but seems like this would give you a finish between chrome and satin. I think others have posted pics of doing this to the g400 or g700 irons if you search.

Yeah, I was just curious if it would be the same for the i210 and the i500 irons versus what people have done in the past to the g400 and g700. I assume those all have the same finish?

So I just recieved my i210s. I custom ordered them with smac wrap recoils power spec,1/4 inch short at c9/D0 sw. The spec sheet says C6+. I called ping and asked why sw is not at C9 because that is on the light end of the spectrum I prefer. He confirmed that my request was on the notes. He said that either they meant to put C9 and put c6(said this probably wasn't the case) or couldn't achieve C9. How the heck can you not achieve C9. If I'm doing the math in my head stock i210 iron is d2 D0 for stock graphite. Everyone I asked in ping i210 forum said length is the same for recoil so only losing 1 sw from ordering 1/4 short. Am I missing something for these to come in at c6+ and what does the + mean?

Send them back. Tell them you want them at C9, full stop.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

Ya i thought about just sending them back but wanted to here from others on the forum. They also messed up the pw length i specified to leave pw only at standard length and they cut it down a quarter inch. I ordered from tgw should I call them or contact ping? Like I said I play my clubs at C9 D0 and c6 seems like it's getting close to ladies swingweight. I've ordered three previous sets of ping irons with same shaft at C9 and they were spot on

You need to go through your retailer. If you want changes, you go through Ping WRX. But if you do that, they aren't "new", and you'll be paying for them like anyone else. Go through the store, and get them corrected.

If it were me, I'd tell the store that they need to weigh them before they bother calling you. Make them do the quality check.

Send them back via your retailer and have them keep building them until they are correct. It’s not difficult, though they sure make it seem to be nowadays. See my Ping thread in DoND.

I have been liking my i200s better than my i210s, only one swing weight difference between them, though the shafts could be the reason. Seem to hit the regular spec i200s as far or farther than the power spec i210s. I will say though that the i500 is ridiculous - Iasered a 19* 3 iron almost 250 yards on GC2 yesterday (at sea level, no wind, 72* air temp).
