I'm like the USGA: living in the glory long gone. My broadcast is behind you guys so from the excitment on the board I more or less know how the shot I see is going to end up.

Once again I blame the Australian high tech ecosystem for the delays: the pigeons carrying IP datagrams must be getting tired of flying such long distances.

This is a joke, way too easy today.

The 10 guys at +6 or worse today probably disagree with you

If they're already in at +6 today, then it's them and not the course. They played crappy.

Just like so many yesterday hit really bad shots.

They hit bad shots because the course gave them no opportunities.

Scoring average today is still +2. This course is anything but easy. It's the perfect mix, to be honest. It's just a shame the USGA screwed the pooch with the course manipulations yesterday.

When you set up a course fair, water it properly, this is what you get - a great round where the players are showcased and great play is rewarded.

Golf is in a weird situation where they have to play crazy golf to keep the scores down at tournaments because of technological advancements as soon as there's a bit of moisture on the greens, there are several players in the low 60s.

USGA can't win really because their goal is an Even par winner. The Open and PGA just let it happen, sometimes the winner is -5, sometimes the winner is -18. But they aren't playing for an arbitrary number.

“That’s too much sugar for a nickel right there”.....WTF?

Zinger just keeps throwing them out there.

I don’t get the Azinger hate. I think he’s a pretty cool cat. The kind of cat that would like to lick the beard off Beef’s face and then go chase the rabbits around in the briar patch. Because you know, rabbits like briar patches.

He always tries his best, I'll give him that.

Apparently Mike Davis just gave the guy responsible for the black scoreboard numbers the rest of the day off.

Yeah, when DJ yesterday blocked a five iron 25 yards off line, that's because the course took away opportunities. If there were NO opportunities, then how did Rose and Stenson post good numbers?

For those of you defending this course setup today what are your expectations of the US Open? This is not traditional US Open golf. This is bordering on Bob Hope Desert Classic stuff. The pressure of a major will get to some no matter what the course but this course is playing way to easy. As far as the tournament so far so good. Lots of guys in it, going to be interesting finish.

There's no question that this is not the ideal setup for a US Open Sunday. The problem is that they screwed the pooch yesterday (and to a degree on Friday), so they basically had no choice but to set it up this way for the final round. They pushed the course too hard yesterday, which made a mess of the tournament. Now they've got to bring the tournament back, and the only way to do it is to set up the course for a shootout.

Today's course setup is amazing. Phenomenally good. For Friday. Circumstances dictated that it comes on Sunday, which is too bad - yesterday's round should have been today.

Totally correct. If anyone was is angry about the set up either day the convenient thing is the USGA is responsible for both. If Mikey and the boys hadn't screwed up so badly yesterday they wouldn't have been forced to overcompensate. It's a win/ win. Oh and Mikey's excuses about yesterday are inexcusable.

Rose made 2 birdies yesterday and Stenson made 1. Stenson shot +5 on the back.

Not sure what you were watching yesterday.
