rather disappointing that Titleist is going 45.5 inches in stock length.

They had all shafts in stock at 45 at my fitting and i thought that was the longest I would go. 45.5 is too long I agree but they just wanted a normal consumer to be able to dominate a launch monitor. It seems silly to us but if it helps in overall sales no big deal as I was getting fit anyways so I’m ok with them doing what helps the bottom line. They are finally going to the mattresses.

I believe there are a lot of players that read stock length 45.5" and that will be all there is to hit or else... not true. I know that both the Smoke and EFW have 45" options in the fitting matrix. Just make sure the fitter puts the +2 gram weight in the CG port to account for correct SW. There are alot of players that have played 45" for a long long time and +1/2" will result in a larger frequency of misses in the heal.

Stock length refers to "off the shelf"... I really hope GolfWRX's are getting fit!!! There's a reason for the longer stock length. If Titleist has a product to go after Callaway, TM, and whomever else and is going to compare apples to apples during Titleist Thursdays and Fitting Days then they have to have 45.5". The TS line is REALLY good and if +1/2" helps them sell more clubs, then they'll have a chance to sell more clubs. BUT theres 45" options as well for that golfer.

When I got fit for my TS3 my plan was to simply use my ATTAS 6Star from my 917 playing at 45". We ordered the Smoke at 45" so the head weight accounted for the +2 gram weight needed. Playing SW is at D2 with my TS3.

Agree across the board! I don’t know that my fitter changed the swing weight when I put in a 45 shaft and I mentioned the head felt lighter. When I order from Titleist do I have to specify that or the moment I ask for 1/2 inch short they will adjust that as necessary?

Titleist will always attempt get to target SW regardless of length. By default, ordering from Titleist at -1/2" from standard the builders will install heavier CG weights. They ONLY time you will need to specify a different CG weight is if they player wants a SW that is different from standard.

Honestly I bet he switches to the TS as soon as Fedex Cup is over. He just does not seem like someone to change mid season. I hit my 915d2 and the TS3 back to back at the fitting and the dispersion was similar but distance was better with the TS3. My money and prediction is he will go TS3 with 9.5 loft.

Agreed after hes out on Sunday I say he starts testing the TS line and has it in the bag for the Ryder Cup. Hes already hitting the 2 in the fairway. And he was still playing the 915. Not sure if it is in the bag for play or not tho.

915 3 wood is still in play. Just testing the TS2 fairway wood.

any difference in head weight..My 915 felt like a brick compared to the epic and m2..

Head even at standard is definitely significantly lighter than 915 D2. It was very noticeable but controllable so after swinging a few times it felt good but going back and forth required an adjustment each time.

My fitter did not, but he did recommend getting he 45.5" stock length still after swing 45" in the same shaft.

My rep told me to get the 45.5" shaft as well. He said I didn't have a chance to hit the center of the club face at any length so I might as well go for swing speed.

^^^ The most honest comment ever made on this site. lol.

Anybody know the torque on the Evenflow White 6.0 and 6.5 shafts. The white shaft is not listed on pxshaft website. Only the blue and the black are.

Can someone compare the HZRDUS smoke and the EF white.

I can give you a comparison based on my fitting.

107 average SS,

The 70 xflex EFW felt like a board to me. I couldn't feel it load. Had decent numbers tho. So I didnt even try the smoke in a 70 gram shaft.

The 60 gram shafts both felt great and both gave me pretty close numbers with the XFlex. I could feel them both loading, although a little smoother in the smoke.

I went with the smoke 60 grm 6.5 it provided the least amount of fade.

The EFW was fading more, still very playable, but the miss with the EFW was farther right than my miss with the smoke.

The smoke no matter how hard I went at it, or how bad the swing was the ball was always playable.

I never lost one left at any point with either two shafts. My only problem with the white was my miss right. It was not as good as my miss right with the smoke.

anybody know which retailer would process order fastest so I can get it faster than 9/28?

It's not so much the retailer, the pre orders go to titleist, they will drop ship from titleist to you. Or at least should. Unless you find one that has them ship it to the retailer then they send it to you. That shouldn't be the case tho. If you pre order you should have the third week of Sept. That's what my fitter told me when he placed my order this morning.

It was said that they will match it to the current SW (at 45.5). Whether that’s the SW you want is another question?
