You can call them and they will guide you through what you want or you can put it all in the cart online and specify you want them assembled. They will then reach out to confirm prior to assembly.

I'm moving to graphite as well. Didn't see any wedge specific graphite shafts except for one and it was backordered

Kinettix has wedge specific shafts. What a lot of people do is if you use a kuro kage 70 for your irons go to the next weight shafts for your wedges (kuro kage 80)

Those are the ones on backorder.

I still haven't decided what graphite shafts I'm going with yet for my irons.

Everyone seems to like the KuroKage. My concern is that it's too light since I like a mid 80gram shaft from my experience.

If you like 80 gram and you want to order from golfworks I’d look at the aldila NV. You could go with the 85 in your irons and wedges or go with the 95 in your wedges.

other great shaft options would be from Xcaliber. The tour shaft or the Rapid Taper would be excellent choices but they’re not available through golfworks.

Thanks, I will look at those as well. The weight was the main reason I was considering the UST SmacWraps.

Also, I've got a buddy looking to start playing golf. He asked me to find a used set for him but after finding this thread I'm thinking a set of Maltby irons might be a better choice. Which model do you guys suggest for someone just starting out?

Get him to buy and Sti2 club pak and have him build his own set. He will be addicted.

STI2 are great clubs I went to them after playing DBM’s for a season and played my best golf with them last year. They are on the shelf for now purely because of esthetics, for me the sole of the STI2 is Golfworks best offering, but my preference is for for forged and the classy look and feel you get with the PTM’s and DBM’s. I still do not hit the PTM irons as well as the DBM but enjoy the stronger lofts. My two cents go with the STI2 irons

I will have him take a look at the STi2 then. I'm not sure building them out selves will be an option as neither rod us have any of the equipment needed for it.

Popeye is right, it is addictive as H once you start building clubs but with free assembly why bother.

Went to a “retro” fitting today. The fitters take aways where this. While my swing speed generally puts me in to S and R or R+ fits my tempo much better. Load a S flex doesn’t seam to work. They took my shafts a measure there frequency. It’s came in at around 6.0. He said since it’s a combo flex the but is Stiff. Shaft weight he said the lighter the better but keep SW around D1-D2.

His shaft suggestions where KBS Tour 90S ( he said it plays soft) , Elevete 95R , Nippon 950GH and maybe a Project LZ in 5 or 5.5

Curious about anyone thoughts ?

I have the TT Elevate 95 shafts currently and hate them. The speedsteps were in my old ones I should have kept.

Honestly, not sure. Why would you recommend something else?  Just curious

I haven't. I didn't see them as an option when I looked earlier today.

Let me know if you decide to sell the Elevate 95...

I despise the Elevate 95 but mine are in stiff.

Any idea on the timeline for them ?  Eagerly awaiting....

The pro shop said they are guessing at spring for next years season. The TS3 fits in between the TS1/TS2 but I’m not sure on the TS4. Supposedly the 3 and 4 will be filled heads as well. I was thinking of buying a set of TS1 but am holding off to see how the 3 and 4 come out.

Did you not hit any of those shafts to find out what works?

the profiles of the kbs, the nh950 and the pxLZ are all VERY different….
