This is where I'd really like to see ShotLink data. Her shots gained tee to green has to be easily 3 shots better than the nearest player. Her driving literally put her in the drivers seat.

Sei Young shot -31 despite missing 5-10 putts less than 10 feet.

Amazing job by Sei Young, she is my favorite player on tour, well 1(b) and it was great to see her be so dominant and take apart the golf course. It was truly an amazing display of golf.

 

But we all know that a 4 handicap WRXer would have shot -35 on this course :rolleyes:

Right. After reaching the par 5 13th in two yesterday, she three-putted. Ugh.

That was a pretty long first putt, though. I don't know the stats, but I bet a putt that length turns into a 3-putt fairly often, even at that level.

 

But it does add to the list of accomplishments: she shot -31 with a double and a beagle (3-putt par).

I think we need to look at her consistency.. 4 Great rounds are very rare.. You'll see spurts of great rounds once or twice..

 

That's what makes her score noticeable..

When Sei Young Kim wins, she does it spectacularly. Recall that Lotte playoff against inbee Park in 2015 (was it THAT long ago?).

I think we need to look at her consistency.. 4 Great rounds are very rare.. You'll see spurts of great rounds once or twice..

There's a small plaque in the middle of the 18th fairway at Ko Olina from where Sei Young hit that shot.

Is SYK using mp25 irons? If not can anyone give me the model please? I know she used 53's well and moved on to 15's at some point but I can't find a witb anywhere

 

I believe she's playing MP-18 SC's this season.

Thanks bud....that's the best pic I found and figured the 18SC was it but making sure the mmc wasn't in the mix...SLDR too as driver to boot!
