Best Wedge Shafts

I know there were some mentions, but for me, Nippon shafts are better. I presently have the wedge specific 125 shaft. Great wedge, but there are many others that I think could think of as well. I might try the 120 iron in my 60 and then 125 iron shafts in the other 2. I also think the Super Peening Orange is a great wedge shaft ( if you have the right tempo).

A matching shaft AND heavier swingweight suits me and dgs200 or 300 in vokeys and callaways works fine.D5 + currently on 9 pw 50 54 58

Titleist SM7 50 & 54 with Nippon Modus 125 Stiff (128.5g), SM7 58 with DG Wedge Flex (mainly for bunkers, I play the 54 from almost anywhere.) Getting ready to replace my PW (TM p790) with a SM6/7 46 and I'll put the Nippon 125 in that. The rest my p790's, for reference, are all KBS Tour 120 Stiff. Just like the weight and control-ability of the combo. They go where you aim them.

I play the modus 120s in my irons and they are great for me. I’m a low ball hitter so I get good launch but they still have control. In my wedges I have been using r300’s. Same feel, just a bit heavier. So far I love this setup. If your used to PX 6.5 or above the modus 120’s will be too soft and light in a wedge. I can see where it would be way off for you.

I've loved my TI S400 in my new vokeys. So much so I just ordered a 46* with that shaft to go with the Modus 125x in my irons. We shall see as I don't hit a lot of full wedges

I like the DG TI S400 in my 50*. Stable feel and can flight it down easily if I need or want to. I have a regular Vokey Wedge shaft in my 56... It feels a little light, not sure it'll stay... I may swap it out for a spinner, I like that shaft as well. I think it depends on how you use that specific wedge... If you don't hit a lot of full shots then a stock wedge shaft may be fine but if you step on it, something a little heavier seems to be a better option IMO.

I play Nippon Modus 120 stiff shafts in my irons. Has anyone tried the Modus 115 wedge shafts?

X100 soft stepped (8 iron shaft).

Heavier and lighter is generally the rule. It’s why the #1 iron shaft on tour is X100 and #1 wedge is S400. I play modus 125s in 4-PW and 52 and modus 125 wedge (5g heavier and a softer ei curve) in 56 and 60.

Mine has been the DG TIS400 I've tried (fill in name here) but nothing compares the the consistency I have found in these

I soft step my iron shaft (Nippon spb) for 56* & kbs 610 S+ in 60*

 

I highly recommend the kbs 610 s+ and have played it in all my wedges before. Very stable in wind and retains all shotmaking greenside.

I think I'm ready to try another graphite shaft experiment in wedges, last time the shafts just weren't heavy enough, better selection available now.
