Saw Metallica with Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat last year. Amazing show. I'm not a huge A7X fan, but they did put on a good live show. Volbeat is up there on the top of my list and they were fantastic. Metallica (specifically black album and older) ARE the top of my list, and they played plenty of their older stuff. They were incredible live. Even their new music was good live.

I almost went to this in Houston, but decided against it last minute. I love Volbeat, I like Slipknot, but Bohemoth and Gojira are just meh to me. I didn't want to fight the crowd at the Woodlands for a concert where I only wanted to see 1 of the bands. And since I didn't know where they were in the line-up, I didn't want to have to sit through Gojira and Bohemoth to get to them, and I certainly didn't want to drag my wife through them for it either.

I just saw Mark Knopfler at the Greek Theater in Berkeley. Awesome performance! Dude just turned 70 years old, still has a great voice, and has always been one of the best guitarist ever. Glad I got to see him because it might be his last tour.

Holy Wars featuring my pal Kat Leon in Hollywood just a couple weeks ago.

She's simply amazing.

It's a rare occasion I get out to shows these days. After so many years as a working musician in Los Angeles, it's just ... not fun to me anymore. But there're some friends I'll always go see. She's one of them.

Check that, my concert schedule now includes Andrea Bocelli in December to fulfill a bucket list concert for my wife. Early Christmas present, bucket list concert and travel to one of our favorite places (San Diego).

My last concert was in San Diego on December 8th. I took my wife to see her top bucket list concert, Andrea Bocelli. What a true priviledge it was to see such a talented singer perform with such accomplished accompanists.

Many concerts attended, especially at the EPCOT American Pavilion. Artists include Herman’s Hermits, Los Lobos, Night Ranger, Dennis DeYoung(Styx), etc etc. Dennis DeYoung’s band was one of the best I’ve heard in person. Back in the day my friends and I went to a venue in Chicago called The Kinetic Playground. We saw Joe Cocker and the Grease Band, The Who and Buddy Rich and his Orchestra. Joe Cocker and his band must’ve been drunk, high or both. They were awful. If you were in a garage band, your band was much better. The Who was fantastic and loud. Buddy Rich and his Orchestra received standing ovation after standing ovation. They were clearly the favorite of all the hippie-types and were the only band to do an encore. Their encore song was ‘Alfie’. Yet another standing ovation. Good times.

The last concert I was lucky enough to attend was the Ed Sheeran concert in 2019. Everything was amazing, from the stage to the light music. Ed Sheeran sang beautifully, his voice sounded even more beautiful in a real concert hall. Everything was organized at the highest level, the organizers worked very well. I can't wait for this pandemic to pass, so that I can once again immerse myself in this unreal concert atmosphere. Now the stars hold concerts online, but this is not the case at all. I want to see my favorite artist on the real stage.

    • APPLY NOW: L.A.B. Golf MEZZ.1 Putter (Early Access) Member Testing! 10 Testers Needed!
L.A.B. Golf is choosing ten GolfWRX members to receive their MEZZ.1 putter early and put their brand new product to the test before reporting back to the community about what they see. The selected testers will be one of the first to experience the MEZZ.1 from L.A.B. GOLF, their newest Lie Angle Balanced design, ahead of it's January 2022 launch!

About The L.A.B. Golf Mezz.1 Putter
MEZZ.1 is our new mid-mallet putter that’s fully CNC machined from a billet of 6061 aircraft aluminum (body) and 303 stainless steel (midsection) to create our best-feeling — and we think best looking — putter to date. It includes 10 weights (eight on the bottom, two on the sides) that allow us to individually build each putter to a golfer’s exact specifications.

      How To Apply
In a post below, answer the following questions.

      1. City, State?
      2. Handicap?
      3. What is your current putter?
      4. Have you ever used a L.A.B. Golf putter?
      5. Why do you want to review the MEAZZ.1 putter?
      6. Do you agree to participate in an ongoing testing thread, posting reviews and photos?

That's it! @labgolf and GolfWRX will choose the testers in about 2 weeks! This testing event is for good-standing members in the USA only!
