Her other book, the song of Achilles, I thought was shit.

Been listening to the dune series on audible. Crazy that I missed some stuff years ago.

Weeks is good. Still waiting on that damn Rothfuss book.

4K. goodness. that's like a season's worth of golf expenses in a couple days. no thanks.

i have a little theory. i'm colorblind. not bad, but enough that i'm careful to buy boring clothes (fits my personality!!), etc. Most every year we go down to the Shenandoah. Mrs 2more LOVES fall. I figured out that i don't quite appreciate it the same way because i literally can't see the beauty of the color. i wonder if that is somehow related to me not really caring about courses and conditions as much as some people. like i probably literally can't see poor conditions as much as most people.

At least Sanderson keeps delivering the stormlight archive. Just need less of his YA stuff.

4K would go a long way if not all the way for a Scotland trip, especially from the east coast. Guess I need to find 8K somewhere. :#

Bandon is sick. Every time I see my dad he talks about something from that trip 5 years ago. A photo album of pictures from there are his screen saver. If you're someone who wants to play the best/most scenic courses all over the country or world, you have to stop there at some point. If you're not someone who is interested in making those kinds of trips, it's not necessary.

My planned three days of 36 holes in scotland was going to end up costing the same as one 36 hole day (including caddie fees) in peak season at Bandon. Scotland is way cheaper and it's not close.

Personal approach on golf trips is evolving away from feeling like I need to play the top rated courses at all costs and more towards play any courses with the correct people.

Last summer we did 8 days in St Andrews, 18 holes a day, 7 nights hotel with driver/shuttle every day including airport.

Well under $4k - and that includes the flight. Could have been much cheaper if we stayed in a hotel in town too.

The golf is funner.

Also, you can't just translate all of our expenses into "golf dollars".

Golf trips are a trip, a vacation, an adventure, an experience, an extended hang with the hairier half of the species. They're not about efficient use of discretionary golf money.

Part of what you're paying for is showing up and going, "I don't have anything to worry about for the next 4 days except playing golf".

Little movie talk Friday. . .there's a movie being released. . ..100% on tomato meter with 149 critics reporting. . .Parasite from Bong Joon Ho. He's the guy who made Okja and Snowpiercer (and The Host from years ago(. Anyway, the movie people I follow on twitter are flipping out about it. Supposed to be great, and I know we have a Korean contingent among us. Not sure if they're into him.

I'd also recommend "The Death of Dick Long" to people. It's available for rent on Prime Video. It's a bit off color, so if you're watching with sensitive people, be careful.

It sure sounds awesome, but it's going to be released on Netflix like 3/4 weeks after theaters. I'm a scorcese fan, but I'm expecting to watch it at home.

I think the eddie murphy dolemite movie is the same. . .going to be on flix a few weeks after release.

tomorrow I'm playing [McCullough's Emerald golf Links.](http://www.mcculloughsgolf.com/index.htm "McCullough's Emerald golf Links.")

Normally I don't even bring my clubs when I'm at the shore, but wife has something all day tomorrow so I'm playing. It's close to AC so some of you people have probably played it.

There's a couple more places down here that I wanted to try but one place has no tee times saturday and one place has no tee times until after 2. That has "huge outing" written all over it.

MTF: Pretty pumped for El Camino that just came out today. I'm a huge Breaking Bad mark, so I can't wait to watch this movie 17 times.

I'm looking forward to ball golf this weekend, too. Gonna play EPP for the first time.

Also, my company is sponsoring a hole in a scramble at Waverly next Thursday. I was asked to play in the tournament, too. Playing golf on a work day for free without having to use PTO is the tittts.

Getting paid to play golf? This officially makes you a professional golfer. Living the dream.

Hard to tell right now. I so badly want this movie to be amazing. But I also feel like there have been times when you wait forever for a movie to come out. You finally see a trailer for it and say OMGGGGG THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE AMAZING - and then when the 3.5 hour movie finally comes out, it turns out it sucks and everyone is disappointed they waited for years and years to see it and it was a piece of crap.

Definitely will be waiting for some real person reviews on this one before watching it.
