Go with the iron that looks the best to your eye.

To me I think they both look great, using and in the bag.  What is playing some tricks on, is the perceived help the HMB gives due to it being a little thicker topline.  However, its a mental thing because through hitting them  the T100S though a slightly smaller profile it actually ended up being on par with the HMB if not a bit more helping.

If performance is almost exactly the same.. than looks and feel.

However, if one set stand out for consistency, spin, yardage, etc that changes some things.

The HMB are hollow and the Titleist are forged so I would expect them to feel/sound different. Could be a factor

For sure, so far I dont find the sound or feel of the HMB to be offensive or gross.  Ive been playing my bro in laws Els XTD Tours while my bag is somewhere transiting back to me across the Atlantic, and the HMBs really resemble those to me.  I liked those Els too.

Obviously the right answer is to buy both.

Use them on the course when the snow melts.

Put a beating on both sets.

Take at least 8 months to decide.

Sell them on BST and recoup 20% of what you spent - while eyeing a third, completely new, set.

I bought a $40 heated vest off Amazon to try out this week. I will say, the thing gets HOT on the high setting. But for $40 it was worth a shot. Its got two huge heat coils in the lower back which should be perfect for me. Will run on any power supply you have.

I wore it to hit some wedges for about ten minutes on Thursday. Even though it was 30* out, I think you could easily get away with just a long sleeve t shirt underneath it.

I would not classify the build quality as *high* necessarily but at $40 if it lasts a season you're probably making out OK.

Rough weather forecast for us for the next week or so.  I got out to the Pinecrest sim for an hour yesterday to get some swings in for the first time in a while.  I've only used the Pinecrest Track Man twice now, but yesterday I figured out how to do the split screen with the camera on one side and the stats on the other side.  It's pretty addicting and I could easily spend a couple hours in there if time and money were no object.

How accurate did you feel the distances were?  I was there Sunday and felt like they were 7-10% low.  I couldn't figure out a way to recalibrate.

Did you try to download or send yourself your data?

I'm glad you said that.  I used the same simulator in September 2020 and then again yesterday and took screen shots with my phone.  My driver SS was down about 5 mph consistently.  I thought maybe it was just because I have not played / swung as much recently, but 5 mph still seemed like a lot.  Both in September, but even more so yesterday, I notice bigger distance gaps / inaccuracies with shorter clubs like a PW or 8I so I try to mostly hit mid irons to driver.  The other thing I do not know is how much it matters if you're using balls with the little metal / reflective dots.  The sim had some of those lying around, but they were pretty beat up and a lot were missing the dots so I just used my own balls from my bag.  I felt like the the swing path and trajectory were solid and I was happy with my swing, but agree that the distances, both carry and roll, did seem low.  I didn't mess with settings like elevation, temperature, etc., but maybe someone has the default values to something weird.  I'd love to spend a couple hours in there with someone who really knows Track Man @misplacedtexan83  so I could learn more of the capabilities.

I didn't mess with trying to download the date, but I did take multiple screen shots with my phone so I can see a trend.  The folks there are awesome and it was dead yesterday and they told me to take my time, but after an hour and 15 minutes, I did not want to push my luck so I left.

Yeah, I didn't think the dots were necessary, but when I mentioned this to DC after the fact, he suggested trying it next time. Definitely going to get some dots next time.

Really nice set-up over there.  I thought I had sent my data to mytrackman, but it never showed.  I may try linking my phone to the TM next time and get data that way.

It is a great setup and fairly reasonable cost wise.  We should setup a WRX meetup there sometime.  I think you can play courses, but I haven't messed with that feature.  Playing courses with 3-4 guys while enjoying some beverages would be a good time when it's 20* outside like today.

Definitely use the dots. I bought a roll of metallic HVAC adhesive tape off Amazon for about $8 and hole punched as many as I needed. I think maybe Flightscope sells sheets of dots for $20 or so which seems ludicrous. Truth is you'll never need more than a few.

For what its worth - IMO - being 5 mph off your driver SS doesnt actually seem strange at all when you are comparing a September/in season swing to now.

I spent about ten minutes the first time I was there screwing around with some of the settings. Its not necessarily super intuitive the first time around but I think its fine once you get the hang of it. The biggest thing to figure out is how to do the auto-calibrate so you can make sure you are actually aiming in the right spot.

Thanks for the tip on the dots and I'll give it a try for sure!

I wasn't too worried about 5 mph and agree that it could just be the difference between in season to off season.

I do need to learn more about the settings and options.  I kept the camera view off for the first 45 minutes as I didn't want to get into diagnosing my swing, but I turned it on the last ~15 minutes of so.  I noticed my right foot coming up and around a few inches at impact / follow through which to my untrained eye does not seem super conducive to using the ground effectively.  I'll probably work on pushing off better / keeping my right foot connected to the ground the next time I'm at the range and / or with an instructor.

I was digging around Amazon today so decided to check when I actually bought this dumb snowblower - it was actually December 2016. News said this morning its been 709 days since we even got more than a dusting. Even though its a plug-in, with a bum shoulder, I'll take all the help I can get.

Breaking News: Golfer Doesn't Believe Actual Distances!

I know.  I really should believe the indoor machine that has been f***** with by dozens of randos rather than the 4 years of data I have collected on course and via Garmin.
