QOTD: Your go to golf glove?

Recommended Posts

Vice Pure is my favorite. I used to wear the Titleist Players, but there are much nicer. Better cut and hold their shape until they wear out. They are currently sold out of my size, so I have been using Titleist again recently.

I have also really liked Srixon Z-Star Cabretta - Especially the one with the neon green stitch. Great glove, just hard to find.

I also just picked up a few Owen Brown styles that are on sale. Haven't gamed them, but they are nice. Their regular cabretta glove is good quality, but the plaid microfiber is a little different than I was expecting. The palm side is almost like FJ rain glove and outside is synthetic. Feels nice, but I don't know if I would buy again. Plan to use them in fall as I think colored gloves only look good with long sleeves.

I should also say I use UTX, NDMC or corded grips. I think that makes a difference on what others prefer and helps when gauging opinions.

Giving the Mizuno Elites a go, tried on the Titleist Players and was to close to between sizes (I wear Cadet M/L).

Probably going to give the MG a go with the next purchase.

MG Golf DynaGrip Elite!!! The Snell of Gloves!!!!

This. The price point is so low that they really eliminate all competition. They feel like all the other thin cabretta gloves and you can buy them in bulk and rotate them without breaking the bank. I’ve yet to have one rip. With the humidity and heat of Michigan summers they stretch out and have to be pulled out of rotation but never tear.

I prefer the Titliest Players Glove, but being a lefty, I typically wear whatever I can find when I'm at the course and remember I need a new one. The course I play most of my rounds at has FJ weather soft gloves. Not my favorite, as they feel incredibly thick and retain a lot of moisture from sweating, but that's the only lefty glove they sell there. If I'm ever at a sporting goods store or golf store and remember I need one, I will typically get my preferred glove while I'm there. Most of the time though, I realize I need a new one as I'm warming up for my round.

I keep 2 gloves in my bag. One for my pre-round warm-up (since I sweat like a pig hitting ball after ball), then one for my round. It goes on before each shot and comes off immediately after, so I don't sweat through the glove I play in. When I buy a new one, the revious range glove goes in the garbage, and the one I played with goes to the range glove.

Looking for a nice glove for a decent price. How do the Costco Callaway cabretta gloves fit? They only have cadet XL available and I'm a cadet L in MG, Bionic, and FJ Stasof. I won't buy MG because 3 of the 4 blew up within a few holes and I didn't get a response from their customer service. The fit and feel were good but the stitching was crap.

Vice gloves are by far the best I have tried. How can anyone buying 15 MGs at a time say anything good about durability??? I bought 3 Vice gloves this spring. ~40 rounds and 2/3 range days a week all summer and I’m still playing the first glove. No holes yet but a little wear. Stitching all still good. Soft leather. Consistent sizing, stitching and finger widths. Nothing better imo...

You must play in zero humidity and use some sort of squishy grip.

Taylormade Tour Preferred. Best longest lasting golf gloves I have found. Don't pay retail for them but find them on sale and totally worth the price. Only downside I have found is the bottom of the glove where you pull it on your hand does rip after some use and especially if the glove has gotten wet from sweating.

I bought some Wilson gloves on a whim (buy 1 get 1 and I was being cheap) and new or not I am about to pitch them due to the way they bunch around the grip and club. I have personally never experienced this before, but I have always used Footjoy WeatherSof gloves.

This led me to wonder, especially given the reviews on Not allowed because of spam with Mizuno gloves measuring as their best glove, what is your glove of choice?

Been using Taylormade Tour Preferred all year long. Really wanting to try the Vice Pure glove and also the Ping glove, but they aren't really too common on eBay. I tend to buy my gloves in bulk during the 15% off sales that randomly pop up and for whatever reason, eBay sellers have a bunch of the TM ones, but little to no Vice or Ping. They do from time to time but the price isn't really justifiable.

Only gripe with the TM glove is the first finger does tend to bunch up a little bit and move around. Durability is decent, I usually play/practice around 2x per week, and I get around 1 month per glove before the leather starts to dry out and feel brittle.

The Taylormade Tour glove is extremely grippy as long as you keep it clean. Even mine that are pretty much at the total end of their life (about 1 month) still grip fairly well. They soak up sweat though and become pretty slippery inside if you aren't constantly drying your hands on a humid day. YMMV on that though, my hands sweat a ton.

Footjoy leather ones, Taylormade leather ones, Mizuno rain ones. I love the leather feel but hate when it eventually changes color and need to throw it away.
