70% of the drivers mentioned can't be had under 100,people naming the 2016 m2 can be had for 100 are really funny

Here's one in my city. $130cdn, so as of right now it's 99.69usd

https://www.kijiji.c...gationFlag=true

Might not be tons out there for the picking, but if you keep your eyes peeled I'm sure you can do it.

edit: doesn't change my opinion that this isn't a "low spin" club.

I guess, hopefully the o.p can fly to your city and pick it up. I'm sure when someone ask for a certain club at a certain price they want something readily available, not a unicorn

I am high launch, high spin too and have hit almost everything on the course. Cleveland Custom XL feels awesome and is a mid-high bomber. 460 head but looks a little smaller from the top, very deep face. Also the x2Hot Pro is similar. I currently game the '15 XR pro, 9 degree on neutral. This is my second head, and came back to one after testing almost every current new model. This time I actually replaced the 5 gram weight on the bottom with a 2 gram, then put that poly stuff that is inside stuffed animals, because I read on here that it doesn't compress together like cotton. I play it just under 45" I absolutely love this setup. I feel it keeps the ultra low spin and the poly ads weight distribution to the head, making it more forgiving and giving it a nice muted sound/feel and allowing me to have good swingweight at under 45". Got mine with a rogue for $75, although I play a 70 gram aftermarket Fuji x in it. Sorry for the long post but I like details ha.

I appreciate the details! The cotton in my head KILLED the sound and my drive already had an extra stiff shaft, so bad sound plus shaft made it feel like a brick strapped to rebar. I got the cotton out and will see how it plays... It's short (45in) but I'm going to give it and my game a month...

I'll add X2hot Pro to my list of things to keep an eye open for!

Yep! No problem. The X2Hot is awesome, has Great feel, low spin and plenty forgiving. I would definitely try to find one with an aftermarket shaft that fits your specs, as I think the stock callaway shafts, like the Aldila tour green, was a made for. I could be wrong though, but I got much better results from that great head with an aftermarket shaft. There are plenty of great used shafts out there for 40-50 bucks too.

The SLDR and SLDR 430 are obvious options. One that surprised me was the Tour Edge XCG7 Beta. I used to play a 7* SMT 455DB, I have a Fast 12LS at 9.5 that I would tweak lower, etc... when i first took the XCG7 Beta on course, I messed with it at 9.5* and even 8.5* and found I had trouble keeping it in the air. The Fast 12LS would sometimes check up on me in the fairway, but not this TEE.

I finally got an adapter and shafted it with something mid launch. :)

Tests I've seen suggest the E8 Beta is similarly low spin.

A downside, the XCG7 adapters are no longer available, and don't cross polinate with other TEE models. :( However, E8 adapters are available.

Either of these can be found under $100. The E8 Beta stock shafts are real deal Rogues or Diamanas, which is a very nice touch.

Edited to add: I have a 10.5* SLDR White that I've plugged an RIP Alpha 80 in, my XCG7 Beta has a Fujikura F3 80. Both are same length. The XCG7 Beta set to 10.5 flies lower then the 10.5 SLDR.

Haven’t looked at prices lately, but should be close. Titleist 910 D3.

I’m also questioning the M2 suggestions. I just bought a M2 head only off the BST recently and that was $100. I guess if OP already has a good shaft to fit it might work. Or if he found one that wasn’t in real good condition.

Cobra King LTD is right at that $100 price point a d will give you some modicum of forgiveness that the SLDR definitely will not.

I'm definitely patient.

Honestly, I'm headed to Palm Springs in December and they have more drivers than they have old people... only problem is finding one with a decent shaft.

Might end up picking up a 2 year old head on the cheap and then getting a shaft built for it... I'm also going to get a new shaft for my Fast 12LS... current shaft is a board with my current swing speed... I'm working my way back up to 110+. Three years of rust is definitely hard to shake off and I'm older.

Lots of good suggestions in the thread, some misfires... I'm definitely going to get an SLDR on the cheap at some point. I'll probably attach a lead pipe on the outside to cure it of the duck hooks.

I was surprised my local store didn't have ANY SLDRs on sale... My guess is they eBay things like that... I'l have to talk to my club pro to see if they are doing trade ins and if I can get an SLDR cheap.

Honestly, the club I just joined has a ton of equipment hoons, so I'm sure one of them has plenty of old drivers sitting around.

Here prices are better than eBay. I got my SLDR 430 for $35 on the BST.

Yeah, I've had nothing but good experiences on the classifieds... Sadly the stuff I'm looking for is probably older than most people on here are dumping!

SLDR. Try to find one with the heavier shaft.

Working on it... Knowing how popular it was when it came out, I'm shocked at how few there are on the market right now... GlobalGolf only had 1.

Ebay has a couple and the forums have a couple... I might just pull the trigger on the forums.
