Already lying.

No way Bryson is communicating anything.

You think the Plebeians over at LA Golf Shafts can understand what one of the most brilliant minds in the Universe is trying to convey?

I have a better shot at understanding Hawking's A Brief History of Time.

I'm sure Bryson just hits thousands of shots and says "yes" or "no" so they can comprehend him.

A Brief History of Time was written for the commoner, the everyday-man. Bryson would probably recommend something that isn't so watered-down.

Maybe marketing has changed since I studied it at UCLA, but I don’t quite understand the big announcement timing when all he is currently “playing” from them is a putter shaft.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to have the big reveal once he was using a shaft from them that actually mattered in his bag??

What about the timing of him just winning a tournament?

And maybe just getting him onboard was big enough news for a smallish company, with the presumption that Bryson will eventually play more shafts.

Matrix made some great shafts. Loved the Altus hybrid and the x-con 5. Soured on their brand after seeing their "candy" versions being sold for $234,234,349 on another infamous golf site. Hope they come back better than ever.

Certainly the win is a big deal and I would guess pushed things forward. I Just still think it’s a little weird that it’s only a putter shaft in the bag.

I suppose the idea that they will work on something together is the right message.

I was thinking the same thing. The whole "exclusive" lime thing. Todd became too much and the BS started piling up deep. I know a good man (who will remain nameless) who jumped ship from there at the right time.

WTH ever happened over there anyway? did it just shutter it's doors or what?

They're still around. From what I've gathered it seems like Hoss bought out BigHitter and runs it himself. Not 100% sure as I haven't been there since I joined WRX

So is Bryson basically the only PGA Tour Pro to be signed to a shaft company?

I think the company is a really cool idea, but what is noticeable on TV is a shafts paint scheme. If they make 1 of 1 shafts for a tour player "A", and different shafts for player "B", "C", and "D" etc., and that includes personlized paint scheme I can't imagine regular weekend golfers (non-WRX'ers) would never notice the differences or even have brand recognition. Also never selling a stock offering to a TM, Ping, Cally, etc. will make non-WRX'ers even more clueless that this option is even available. Companies like Fuji, TT/PX, Mitsubishi etc. have brand recognition to non-WRX'ers just by walking into DSG, GG, or any large golf chain and noticing these companies shafts in popular drivers that are on the racks.

Maybe I'm over thinking all of this. I know PXG goes this route and has pretty good success at their price point, but expensive clubs vs expensive shafts...I'd assume clubs would be a much easier sell than shafts in quantity.

Again maybe I'm wrong 100%. It just seems to be even a smaller niche market then a PXG club market.

Regardless I wish them well because it seems like an awesome idea, and I'm curious to see what they do

Man I just got finished with reading 25 pages of posts about that old place and when it appears to have "revamped". I was on in the VERY early days and when I moved overseas to the middle east I stopped posting some then came back for a short period then stopped. Good riddance to BH. I never got banned, which is surprising because I backed Todd into a corner pretty good one time on a scientific discussion about thermodynamics and principles of flight and the ball. He had no idea what I did at the time or my background and he was stating some things backed up by physics and I finally had enough. I private messaged him and said look man, I don't know where you studied physics but I have more people and experts standing behind me watching me type this ready to shred you to pieces and it won't be pretty so again, what you are talking about is NOT POSSIBLE. He responded back to me, I'm not going to go back and forth with you anymore as you must be some expert or something but all I know is physics supports what I say. That was when I sat back and thought, if this guy spouts this much bs about this then God only knows what else. I went back many many years later but now maybe 10 posts a day happen over there I bet.
