Seems he's upset the PGA Tour purchased a section of seats that he didn't like so he upgraded his seats and all that got him was the 1st row of the section they reserved. Most likely that section was roped off with added security so not sure what his expectations were for upgrading. He does a good job playing the heel.

Well, PR is pretty tone deaf to somehow think this is going to go down well. For all those who are giving him grief, I'd imagine most VIPs/CEOs would not be happy sitting in worse seats than their colleagues and peers...in fact, I could easily see someone getting fired for this. (sad, but true...).

And if you pay $650 (and to upgrade???) to see a regular season MLB game, you have more money than sense...

I agree, but it is Fenway.

Not trying to stir s***, but Fenway has red seats in the lower level around the infield (aka "Line Drive" Section). And of course Green seats on top of the monster. Justine's clothes and hat say 2016 Ryder cup could this be an old photo even?

*******Edit**** They did introduce a "premiere" seating section at Fenway a few years back with similar seats to what is in the picture, but that's a box behind home plate? Not really line drive section.

You're right, it looks like he was behind home plate up next to the EMC box.

He's such an a**, imo. No surprise that he complained about the tickets. I'm gonna let that pass.

But, why do Patrick and his wife wear golf apparel out in public so often? I'd think they want to be inconspicuous but not the Reeds. Here we have Justine is decked out in Ryder Cup gear while Patrick is sporting the cap of his #1 sponsor. Lame! Or, as I like to say .... Look At Me Everybody.

Is "line drive" section bad?

It is a reference to an area of seats down both the 1st and 3rd base lines usually just past the bases for 100 ft or so. When a batter hits a pulled foul ball line drive (read low and head level) they come fast and hard and you are beyond the area where the protective netting extends. You really have to be aware if you are sitting in those seats. If you're sitting there chit-chatting you can get a painful wake up call.

I don't know how you can tell from that pic but at any rate OP (who is not from the US) asked what line drive seats meant so I just explained it to him.

I was thinking the same thing...but Tiger always wears Nike stuff whenever you see him photographed too...maybe it's part of the Nike contract! Or maybe, and I'm just guessing here, is PGA players don't pack "regular" clothing when they're travelling for work. After all, they basically just go from airport to course to hotel. A lot easier to pack one set of clothing that two. (Doesn't explain the wife though!)

I see Tiger usually has the Albany hat when he is not playing, but always a Nike shirt when he is doing some sort of sport activity

To me it seems he is saying that the original seats he was given were not in the same section as the rest of the PGA folks at the game (who I assume got their tickets from a PGA tour rep). He then paid a $650 upgrade to sit where his peers were. Seems to me he feels slighted that he did not get the same tickets as everyone else.

I believe it was a PGA Tour event (his post indicates the PGA Tour provided the seats), so it makes sense for them to wear golf gear.

So much Reed hate, god this forum is tiring.

I'd be pissed too if the PGA Tour gave a bunch of players awesome seats, then treated me differently and gave me worse seats. You guys will find anything to b**** about when it comes to Reed.

It has nothing to do with Reed (generally speaking, I rarely have strong feelings about strangers!)...but bitching about something like this in public is poor form and tacky...imagine being invited to a wedding and having your hotel paid for (this happened when I was younger)...and then during the toasts, complaining that your room/hotel was crappier than your friends. .
