Disgraceful performance by Team USA but you can't blame the players. If you bring the best players year after year and they lose every time, you need to start questioning management. So here's what needs to change:

1) Why is the PGA tour holding an event the Sunday before the Cup? Cancel it, send the players over AT LEAST 7 days before tee off. 10 days would be better.

2) Drinking / party atmosphere on the plane. Get someone running the show who will DEMAND attention, you don't see this when football teams fly to the Super Bowl. AFTER they win, yes, party all you want. But beforehand it's time for preparation, not boozing.

3) Logistics. Why are the players wearing snow pants? They look like dorks, they know it, I'm sure it's in their head and affecting their game. TW looks like MC Hammer with those pants. Why do all the tour players have fitting clothes week after week on the tour, then they play for the Cup and it's a joke? Fire whoever was responsible for that, get someone who knows what they are doing.

4) Coaching. Absolute joke, get a real coach, not a former pro. BDC + TW is like oil and water. NOT pairing TW with Rors after what happened last week is the worst decision I have ever seen in the history of the Cup.

Dude, it’s an exhibition match. If you want someone to run the team like a dictator then nobody will want to play.

Honestly, I don’t think half the US team wants to play in this as it is (and I don’t blame them).

Oh I see. You werent really bothered. It was an exhibition.

Yeah right.

so awkward that they are still playing

No as bad as the world match play, where you have to come out and play a consolation match. F that noise.

One of the most annoying things I hear every two years is American team spirit/chemistry doesn't match that of the Euros. I think that's b.s. Since the Belfry in '85, the Euros have just played better, plain and simple.

Over pages and threads of absurd commentary its the "well the US team doesnt like spending time together, the Euro team does everything together" comments that are ridiculous.

You ever seen the Instagram stories when some of these guys go on vacation together? I'd wager to say they like each other as much as the Euro team does.

US team simply didnt play well enough. Didnt drive it well enough all week and it was a GREAT course selection and setup. This is how you setup a course when the opposing team only has one guy in the top 90 in driving accuracy. Good on them.

Agreed, that why I said the US Captain will have widened fairways and Augusta length rough and bikini waxed greens.. Phil and TW will he vice captains.. We're all good!

Couple thoughts - haven't read every post so many probably already mentioned.

Don't understand only playing Phil in one session of Foursomes when it is clearly the format that suits him least - even when he's playing well - and even worse still when he isn't like now. Why not test the waters by sending him out in the first Fourball match and see how he plays. If he plays well play him again in Fourballs the next day. If not sit him like you did.

The Phil selection was always a head scratcher to me anyway. I know he won this year but it was earlier and Schauffele was in much better form coming into the competition. "Entitlement" picks are the worst. Westy didn't work out too well for the Euro's at Hazeltine and it should surprise no one that Phil didn't here for the U.S. either.

With Europe having been so successful the last 25 years or so they are breeding a future leadership team of winners (Ryder Cup wise) while we are breeding a successive team of losers. The U.S. needs their own version of Seve - and no not Captain America who is just a douchebag the U.S. team can conveniently rally around when it suits them. H*ll even Spieth decided it wasn't worth the trouble after a while. We need someone who can inspire performance from the Team whoever is on it. The spirit of Seve still permeates deep into Team EU. Well played Europe.

Sergio is the Ryder Cup GOAT?

Tiger now holds the record for most losses in Ryder Cup history. Neil Coles is relieved.

Edit. Phil broke Tigers record.

2 biggest PGA Tour winners in the past 25 years. Like 120 wins.

Most RC loses in history.

Intesting.

super bizarre.

Officially, 25.5 points.

Cant speak for everyone but it doesnt bother me at all.

If we won, be cool, but nothing like seeing TW win or a great major by an American OR a Euro.

Its great that the Euros have such camaraderie and fans.

Big congrats.

Fabulous win by the European team and well deserved against a much fancied US team that didn’t perform to their best with a few exceptions.

Americans looked drained most of this week. Looked lethargic and un interested most of the week. Need to look at timing wise with the fed ex cup to give these guys a little more of a break. Still no excuse was a poor showing for sure.

Once I heard Tigers schedule after the Tour Championship, I couldnt agree more. He went straight from the course to a memorabilia signing then right to the airport.

The American team didnt play well enough this week, plain and simple. It has to be exhausting for a lot of the guys that played in all the playoff events though.

This is what happens when your Captain has a 10-20-4 record at the Ryder cup. How did such a loser become captain? Garbage task force
