Unbelievable putter

It was a troll account. It was obvious from Day 1.

 

Yes we know, didn't make it any less enjoyable. I doubt anyone took it seriously

 

Somebody took it seriously to report me for a comment I made early on in the thread. I knew it was a troll job from the get go and I was just playing along. It was so obvious, but not to some people I guess.

I am pretty good at reading people. I remember him in another putter thread where a $800usd custom 303 stainless putter was tarnishing. The OP and wrxers where all in agreement that certified 303 shouldn't do that. Opininder posted how to clean steel. I think it was annoying and insulting...but I believe he didn't understand English and really trying to help.

The OP and wrxers where all in agreement that certified 303 shouldn't do that. Opininder posted how to clean steel. I think it was annoying and insulting...but I believe he didn't understand English and really trying to help.

He created this thread to get attention and "fit in" That is normal human behavior. So.... for him to put on a act of creating this thread, doing a crazy creation (which he thought was good), spending money and time, making posts that make no sense at all, looking up translations, figuring out what will really irk people and making it seem like he is oblivious to it....might be a really crazy rare psychopath. If they make a movie about it...Steve Buscemi will definitely be playing the Opinder part.

You must have not been around the internet a long time...people do this ALL THE TIME on various forums for various hobbies and even go further into depth of their role play. It goes from dark and predatory to fun and games with trolling on the internet; surely you know this by now.

I was laughing out loud on pages 2-4, this was awesome. Some of members' replies to his pictures were gold.

 

What were these socio-entertained folks up to before the advent of online forums? I don't understand the end game of it all, maybe no sane person ever will? Either way, I was laughing hysterically at one point, so this thread is worth every trolling-keystroke.

You can "troll" the rules forum by going in and arguing that you should get relief from a divot. You can troll the equipment forum by telling them you're a 15 and you think you want blades you so can work the ball. Etc etc. But what exactly was Opinder trolling here.

 

And, by the way, regardless of what "Opinder" is an anagram of, it is a genuine Sikh/Indian name.

While Opinder was a member, he would question and troll members in other threads. This thread was pretty tame, and he had a lot of positive support here. It was the other threads that was the issue for the ban.

 

He did not have proper internet/forum etiquette. Yes, we can all be keyboard warriors, though we try to be civil here.
