Plenty of YouTube videos showing people running TGC. The new version is due for release in a few months and people on the sim tour I believe get a free upgrade.

 

 

TGC It is still lacking game play features like scramble and the tour still has issues due to ‘rewinds’ (mulligans).

 

I can’t imagine paying $600 per year for E6 including the skytrak yearly fee vs a one time purchase and $100 per year.

I have an optoma GT1080 and run TGC in 16:9 on the PC monitor, but force my projector to run in 4:3 mode and it's just fine. DIY on sim stuff is not difficult at all and should really be considered before paying someone else or purchasing all in one kits. Individuals need to decide if the GC2 advantages are worth the cost to them over the ST. I went from ST to GC2 and definitely miss things from ST and others I'm definitely satisfied with the GC2. There are ways to keep costs down for sure, DIY the mat, frame, where you purchase your screen, buying from amazon warehouse or refurb's for projectors, etc

Here's another little tidbit I picked up off the simulator forum. These simulators all assume you're hitting straight into the center of the image. Users advise to make sure you're at least 8 feet from the left wall (if you're a right-hander) to make sure you have room enough for a free swing.

Skytrak (and probably others) allow you to change the impact location/view to align with not hitting the center of the image. Pretty cool.
