Question for the Lady Golfers here.

Recommended Posts

How can we make this site better for you? How can we attract more female members in general? Should we create a forum specifically for Women topics? Anyone willing to take the lead?

It is a handful but, we are trying to get it going. Its a slow uphill process. Its an awareness issue and we've got to find a way to raise it.

It's hard to raise awareness because the range of women golfers are so scattered on the Internet in the first place. We can suggest to the male golfers of this forum to recommend their girlfriends, friends or wives to participate in the forums here, which can be a good start :ok:

Yes,

I think that's a great idea. Just most guys here are hesitant cause it exposes their habit. :fool:

:fool: What habit? So there might be a couple of boxes coming and going. What habit? :ok:

Welcome. As Gx said it will take time. I'm sure that there have been many woman that came and went through here and saw a mens club of sorts. If someone sticks it out I would think it could be something special.

My girlfriend knows about this site and thinks I'm nuts logging into it all the time. It gets pretty hard to explain to her that I'll be 15 minutes late bacuse I have to answer some PM's I got. :cheesy: Luckily she understands me. BUT...boy did she roll her eyes when I stopped play on the 14th hole the other day because of the fantastic view. I pulled her bag off the cart and started taking pictures of her clubs. She thought I was nuts taking pictures of them for a WITB post I was going to make for her. :idhitit:

I was looking through this site after awhile since viewing looking for recommendations.  And I do believe there needs to be a Women's equipment and game improvement topic.  I am left handed and a woman so got a double whammy I am up against in finding equipment of quality and finding reviews on women specific equipment.  Most equipment manufacturers do produce women equipment, from entry level to high end, but in my search to find comparisons online it was hard  I am currently looking for wedges.  I found one woman the did comparisons on some of the equipment I was interested in.  Why is that?  I would like to see more women doing equipment comparisons on womens equipment.  Most women are not at tournament level golf but that doesn't mean we don't want tournament level equipment, but want women to do reviews that are knowledgable in this field.  I believe there is a hugh part of the potential revenue that is being overlooked.  BTW, I am looking for some real game improvement wedges right now!!!  Thank you for reading and will look forward to 2021

I think it’d be interesting if GolfWRX and a manufacturer set up a fitting trip for female members of differing abilities. It would help members trying to get women to play with them as well as show what a higher skilled woman should be playing. For example most high level amateurs and professionals use men’s irons with lighter steel shafts.

I know if you buy a set from Golf Galaxy they will fit them for you for free, the issue is, having the set to try or you have to buy it to order it in.  I would like to see more promotion to the average and or even high school ladies invited to the Trial Days.  I know I used to look at them like I'm certainly not good enough to waste their time with me.  I do have buying power and have gotten over that a long time ago now.  Dads and moms, husbands, be good to your daughters/wife that have an interest in golf, it is a life time sport.  Nuture that interest and you will be rewarded with a golf buddy for life. Sons too, lol

Hi all! I'm a female golfer who's relatively tall 5'11" w/ a pretty quick swing speed. I've always used mens clubs, so I've used GolfWRX mainly for equipment reviews and WITB info. I stumbled upon a thread about the PXG 0811X+ Proto driver that I just put into play this week, so I posted my first reply with my experience with it. IDK if they post LPGA stuff here, but that would be cool to follow. Just a thought.
