Got to hit my M6 for the 1st time today, man this thing likes to launch high. Anyone else noticed this, that they have to go very low in loft?

 

I noticed it launch a tad higher for me too, so I went down to 7 degrees(from 9). Eyeball testing only, it looks to have helped a tad.

 

Yeah it's crazy you how low you can go in this head and still get the launch, I used to game 11° in my G400 and now get my best numbers on Trackman in the M6 with the loft at 7° :D Trackman indoors though, not that accurate..

 

My thoughts on the sound is only based in indoors testing with Trackman, IMO M4 sounds a bit better indoors, just feels more meaty when nailing one.

 

Could be different outside, but I also second guessed my decision to go with the M6 instead of M5 after the 1st simulator session, because M5 sounded louder indoors.

 

I would describe the sound saying that the M6 is closer to M2 2016 then it is to the M4.

 

Will get to test it on the Foresights Sports unit today, it gives better ball data indoors. Will do some head to head testing with the M4.

BTW, didn't find the "chart" online for the 9° heads for the adapter settings, so I made 1 myself.

 

Thought I share with you guys since I always find it easier to adjust the head by looking at this chart. Hope I got it right. I based the default spin on MGS Most Wanted testing 2019 for the M6.

It is relevant for the tm adapter....just do a scaling for the 9*.

You obviously missed the point of having a table for the 9° heads where I can see straight away easy and fast what setting I am using..

It's really simple...…...for 9* and 1.5* lower....it is 3* open; 0.75* lower its 2* open; 1.5* higher it is 3* closed; 0.75* higher its 2* closed.

As BirdieBob says, it scales pretty easily as the changes to loft remain the same. But I get what you're saying in regards to a quick reference sheet. I made this laminated sheet for my shop guys for quick reference when setting up demos for customers. The change in loft is on the left, and the actual values for a 9 degree head are on the far right. Apparently just telling my guys that a 9 degree head was always just 3 degrees less than the 12 degree column wasn't easy enough. Lol.

Lol. I’m envisioning Bob Parsons arguing with a mini storm trooper over .5 degree of loft , which is irrelevant anyway due to a players own way he/she delivers the club. You launch the m6 “ high “ because you hit way up on it I would guess. It launches into a great mid traj window for me as my AOA is around -1 to -2 consistently.

Not a numbers guy here and seeing all these numbers is giving me a headache. But since we're on the subject of adapters here, to get the flattest lie you have to go with the lowest loft setting?

It's really simple...…...i^4k = 9° , i^4z2○48Rk+1 = i , i^4╞k+2 = −1 , and ░,◙ßsi^4k+3 = −i

My driver is also D1 with my AD DI at 45", way too light for my liking. I just ordered a set off eBay, has 6, 8, 10 & 12gr weights. About $25. I warmed up the screw with a candle flame, the flame do't even need to touch the screw, mine opened up easy after it was just about too hot to touch.

They are $15-$20 on amazon. Lots of uses for club work. Otherwise maybe a wind proof lighter. You can use a blow dryer or heat gun but those are much harder to concentrate the heat, will end up heating everything else

I'm only 1 round in with the M5 but I feel more comfortable with hitting the center of the clubface than the M6. I think the M5 feels more lively than the M6. I assumed the M6 would be the best fit since I've been playing the M2 2016.

 

tried m5 and I feel the same way. I'm coming from 16 m2 as well.

 

but the crown of m5 already cracked. wtf?

Debating between M6 and F9. Was able to get fit into the Tour Length F9 and I’m 100% convinced 44.5” (or less) is the way to go for me. Choked down on the M6 and got similar results. Ido think the M6 is the better looking and feeling club which is why I’m leaning towards it.

 

Hypothetically, if I ordered the M6 at 44.5 and put a heavier weight in it, would I want to order the lower lofted head?

Not sure if I should go 10.5 or 9. I know loft can be adjusted but I prefer the nuetral setting so club face isn't opened or closed.

I don’t consider the M6 to be that high launching. But I hit the ball low and fairly low spin numbers.
