Who has moved on from Evnroll and why?

I got tired of looking at the ER8 head and wasn't putting great, so I did a fitting and ended up back to a blade but with a plumber's neck - Odyssey Stroke Lab. I also had tried an ER5 but just could not get it aligned with my stroke.

I feel like wrx is a biased place to ask this question lol. Most of us are switching clubs constantly. I have an evnroll 1.2 and 2.2. The evnroll putters take getting used to. Best thing I have done is adding loft. I went from the standard 2 degrees of loft to 3 degrees which helped and I do not forward press at all. As great as the grooves are from 20 feet and in, I feel like they make it difficult to lag long putts which adding loft has helped. The sweet spit is finicky. However, my distance control is better overall compared to my Scotty Cameron California Del Mar and Taylormade Juno Patina which both feel better than the evnroll imo.

I purchased an er2 towards the end of last year but winter boredom caused me to pull it from the bag this year. Put it back in last week and arguably had my best round ever. Sunk 5 birdies which is unheard of for me. All the putter? Probably not. But the confidence is back in the putting game and thats half the battle

Bought a wingblade a month or two ago. Got a nice roll from it, but could never get adjusted to the speed/distance or alignment.

Moved on to a Ping Sigma G Piper 3.

I have been playing an ER2B and just received an ER10, both w Gravity Grips. I can’t say enough about their putters. I think I’m up to 30ish putters and can honestly say that these are my favorites for actually playing. For me the sound and feel are perfect. Love the looks. I feel confident over literally every putt I face.

I have a ER1.2 Tour Blade. Just added the gravity grip. It's just a heavy putter, and though I wanted to use it in all scenerios, it's been regulated to a slow green putter. Like punched greens slow. It was adjusted to my fitted specs.

I am amazed how I putt with the PING Heppler Anser 2 with the PP60 grip. Stock, with a slightly longer length than my usual specs, I'm putting better and with much greater distance control even though it is a smooth faced putter.

So for me PING is first string, Evnroll is second string.

  • 1 year later...

Kinda suprised not slot of people love this putter. My brother had one and i personally thought it was fantastic... i had lots of feel which felt tingish if that makes sense? Also didnt think it was heavy... had great distance control. Lining up was very easy as well and i loved the 2 dots.. i felt it helped me know where my line was aiming. Short putts were easy to align... i would just get the two dots to where i wanted to see them roll into the hole and then check the line as well. Great putter... of course my bro returned his though lol i have 3 putters allready so it wasnt a go for me. I never felt deadness but everyone is different.

I honestly loved the look at address of my ER2v, butttttt….the feel just wasn’t there, the gravity grip was way too bulky in my hands, and the noise off the face was a loud “ting” which was a deal breaker…

Ended up trading it back in for a Bettinardi SS28, which I LOVE, and just has better overall feel. To each their own, I guess?

I really liked my custom ER2B but have had my eye on the Odyssey 2Ball Ten Tour Lined since it was released. It finally went on sale on Callaway Preowned so I pulled the trigger.

Even though I still liked the Evnroll, I couldn't justify keeping a $300+ putter on the bench so I sold it.

@Tycall please take no offense but especially the newer scotties, they are far from the best feedback and feel...although that is subjective.

I moved on from Evnroll twice...both times I always wanted to like it...but it feels terrible, and I find I need to hit the ball just a touch harder to get it to go. I like their product but its just not for me.

Yup i have the same feeling i putted with an old pro platinum forever and moved into white hot for a few months. i tried the new scottys, i likes the look not big on the overall feel and feedback i like the evnroll because i felt that it rolled better and i put with a strong foward press and it woks great for me.

Ha, that was basically me too but with the TT Two-Ball Ten.

The ER2b really suited my eye.  I loved the look and performance.  But I did not love the feel, so it spent a lot of time on the bench too.  Great putter though.

I loved the mid-mallet blade look and actually liked the feel.  On the aesthetic side, I liked that it fit in blade putter covers (which I have plenty of).  However compared to the Tour Lined 2ball Ten, it's nowhere near as easy and automatic to line up.
