Take a lesson and Justin rose makes an appearance. Yeah.

Sealed with a curse as sharp as a knife.  Doomed is your soul and damned is your life.
Enjoy every sandwich

The first rule of the Dunning-Kruger club is that you don’t know you are a member.   The second rule is that we’re all members from time to time.

One drink and that's it. Don't be rude. Drink your drink... do it quickly. Say good night...and go home ...

this is why golf instruction is more art than science. he wanted to limit your hip turn to shorten your swing. but to my eye your hips looks super super fast, so essentially by shortening the hip turn, hes even speeding up your hips more. you can shorten the arm swing without limiting the hip turn, which would seem to make more sense for a player with your hip speed.

just interesting why he chose the path he chose.

Maybe I'm missing something here - you saw Mike in September and have been making some changes.

Are you hitting the ball better? Or still experiencing the same misses?

Not trying to be rude or anything but your asking for more feedback but I'm not 100% on what is happening with your swing and shots at this point...If you are still fighting the same issues I'd suggest you need to change something more drastically.

Just looking to see what people think of the changes. Consistency is getting much better.

Anyone else? Next lesson is 2nd week of March!

Hey kobe...you mentioned that your idea of the downswing was wrong..can you expand on what Mike corrected you on as far as thought process? I also see that the clubhead is kicking out toward the ball on your pump rehearsals...is that something you all worked on?

Sure! I'm not sure if I had an idea of the downswing, it was just I started the downswing incorrectly. In my swing before the lesson, I started the downswing with spinning my left shoulder/whole chest to the left. This cause me to early extend and get 0 shaft lean because the club got behind me. Mike then told me that I have to get my left shoulder to go down then around to get shaft lean. Additionally, if you want shaft lean the face needs to come in closed because if you push the handle forward it opens the face. The club head kicking toward the ball, I'm not sure on, maybe it's because the hands create speed? He didn't say anything about it. He is pretty good about wanting to nail one move before nailing another. I will say I noticed my ball flight has gotten hire but much more penetrating if that makes sense. If you want to talk more, feel free to pm me!

Your last video looks fantastic, definitely the best swing of all the ones in the thread.

Also very interesting in your 2nd lesson where you talked about the arms starting the downswing.... Tiger Woods worked on the same exact feeling with Butch Harmon in their Golf Channel series that I saw on youtube... he said the reason why he was doing that was because he'd fire his hips too quickly, get the club stuck behind, and then would have to flip the hands in order to compensate for being out of sync.

I’ve know Mike since 2014 before he became an AMG rock star. His approach is as genuine as anyone you will meet. If you get past his interest in the Kentucky Wildcats, he is a brilliant guy. Some of the thinks you hear today on AMG, and things he shows using GEARS, he was already talking about in 2014 with nothing more than a camera, a SwingCat, and a GC2/HMT.
