Liking the new Showdown SL in black

I swear it looks like Spieth is wearing the HOVR Drive instead of the Spieth’s. I don’t see the black line on his shoes.

If you look closely there is a version without a black line

My shoe nice fit and pretty comfortable

I tried these on last night at GG. They are definitely more comfortable than last year’s model. The main thing I noticed is that the top is more flexible and doesn’t seem stiff when you walk. However, the spikes around the outside edge felt weird. I think the PUMA Power Adapts are way more comortable.

Has anyone worn the Spieth 3 shoe yet? Does that material get "dingy"? Just curious. The shoe is covered in that stuff.

I got one round in on mine last weekend. It was wet and actually had about a 5 min light shower middle ways through the round. My feet stayed dry and no problems with grip at all. Cleaned them up after the round and they still look new, but I didn’t get any real bad mud on them. I will say they are very comfortable out of the box, no break in time needed.

Handful of shoes added to UA site. They look (in MY opinion) generally a lot more classic than last year's, which in MY opinion looked super sporty. I'm loving the look of the showdown sl in particular. Added shoes include showdown sl, showdown sl sunbrella in light gray and black, fade rst 2.0, and some wide sizes shown too.

Do the Speith 3s have any cushioning for your feet? Previous versions felt as hard as concrete to me. Stable, but like walking on concrete soles.

Looks similar, maybe a slight upgrade. For cushioning, their entire "sl" line is fantastic. Also, the upcoming hovrs are probably pretty soft.

The spikes are different, and appear to grip the turf differently. I don't know if they're interchangeable with old models but if you tweet @askteamua they will know! Spieth 1&2 had "slim-lok" spikes.

Saw a close up of his shoes on 13 today at pebble and the fabric part looks horribly dirty in those conditions.

I will be curious to see the other models. I may try these on in a store to see if they are comfortable, but I will not be waiting on release day to order.

Tgw and Carl's Golfland has the 2019 Tour Tips Knit sl. Interesting look, I like the black colorway (on Carl's Golfland site)

 

I have these in gray and I love them. I was going for an Ariya Jutanugarn kind of look and they fit the bill. Cork style soles are comfortable.

 

Would you mind sharing a quick photo of them? Never saw them in person! Are they waterproof?

 

The tips are coated and waterproof, I don't believe the entire shoe is, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

 

I'm at work so I only have the photo I took of them when they arrived, but here you go (I have a thing for gray obvi):

 

 

 

Any initial feedback on these? Love the look and am tempted to pull the trigger, but find it interesting they went straight to the UA outlet site. Comfort? Support?

Agreed - it's muddy in spots at Pebble and he's wearing white shoes, but they look like crap in those conditions. Far worse than other players wearing white shoes.
