I ended up with some of these because I got the itchy finger on ebay, and no one outbid me.

 

Big surprise - I like them. They are nothing like the old XL's, which I can't even stand to putt with. Very minimal wedge spin, but I don't get much with a $3.50 ball either.

 

The only drawback to me is the slick coating which makes it impervious to marking with a sharpie.

Great ball....it definately goes straighter off errant shots.

I have a terrible push and slice due to an outside-in swing path which these balls seemed to help with and allow them to be playable even if still in rough. Iron shots flew much straighter as well and they are long ....I hit my longest driver ever with these with at 290+ yds. My only complaints are these...

not as soft around greens as I like with wedges and putter but still better than others I have played except NIKE Power SOFT and IGNITE

impossible to mark balls with SHARPIE as the coating on ball cover to help with spin and keeping them straight prevents the marker from adhering...these balls are slippery and fly for ever with a good strike.

The way I have my Bag set up these are my warm up ball for the first 3-4 holes then when I start making shots I get out the gamer to close the deal. First day with these and the gamer I beat my Previous best round 90 by 7( Shot an 83)

Just bought these on sale at Target. I was wondering why I couldn't mark 'em with a Sharpie, because the other D2's can be marked. I guess there is something to the Slickote stuff! :yes:

 

Been errant off the tee with my driver a bit, and my 3w doesn't give me enough distance. So I'll give these a whirl on Monday and give a review.

Found one of these in the weeds looked like it had never been hit before so I used it off the tee on my next round and wow. These things are long, I would say at least 10-20 yards depending on the hit. I am by no means a long ball hitter, usually around 180 or so off the tee but these really went. Tried to use them with my irons but didn't like the feel so I went back to my Bridgestone e6 for that but it was fun to really hit the ball for once. I'll probably pick up a few of these for scrambles.
