For tour players and discerning amateurs who demand the ultimate in workability, the 4-layer Tx4 fits the bill. With a PhD advanced dimple design, a Nano Tech core, and a Fusion layer, all systematically wrapped in a spin-inducing Urethane Elastomer cover, the Tx4 performs so accurately, pins don’t stand a chance.

* 4-Piece Construction

* Urethane Elastomer Cover; 312 flat-bottomed, shallow dimple pattern

* Nano Tech Core

* Performance mantle layer fuels maximum acceleration

Ok so here goes.

I have been a Pro V1x player for the better part of the last 7 years. Being on staff with titleist will grant you the option of getting free balls and playing them. So recently since going back to school I have resigned my professional status and actually have had to pay for golf balls......first time in 15 years.

I recently bought 2 sleeves of the Brigestone B330 and the Wilson TX4 to play while I was over in Hawaii. I played two rounds while I was over there and both nines I played with the Bridgestone were at 36 and 39.....while both nines that I played with the Wilson were at 34 and 33. The wind was down for the most part, I would say it was at 10 MPH...so not much of a factor, but enough that it made a difference. Wilson was much better in the wind...IMO. I am a high spin player and found the Wilson to be better and less affected by the wind versus the B330s.

I would have never suspected a Wilson ball to perform better than a Bridgestone ball, especially after all the hoopla regarding the patent infringement. But it was true....The Wilson TX4 was much better than the Bridgestone 330s for me, in the wind, around the green, and off the tee.....A great ball that can be had for almost 20 bucks less than the Pro v1

I got mine from Bass Pro, I think I saw all three(Tx4,Px3, Dx2) at Wal-mart once. Can't remember. Like everyone said, this thing is nice in the wind. Doesn't balloon alot, good strong flight with the right amount of spin. only complaint is that its not as soft as a ProV, but I can get used to the feel. I kind of hope the new Pro will be softer.

Played a round today with the Tx4 Tour ball. My first impression of the ball came while practicing on the putting green. The ball was very clicky off the putter as if it felt too hard for a tour level ball. Same feeling on less than full shots, too. On full shots the ball felt great and the apparent hardness felt while putting disappeared. Distance of the tee was great. I measured four drives today with SkyCaddie and they were between 296 and 304 yards which compares to other tour level balls I've played. The cover did scuff a little easy at times. Ball checked up very nice and spun back several feet on a few shots. Overall, I think it is a good ball on par with the V1 line, B330, and so on. My only complaint is the not so soft feeling while putting.

This is a great ball. The only reason more people don't game it is that Wilson Staff is just not a huge player financially in the industry. It goes long, has a nice feel, spins a lot, and is relatively durable. Nice medium trajectory, holds a line well, feels good, sounds good. Overall on par with any other 3 or 4 piece tour ball. It's a shame Wilson just can't seem to get it together with such a great heritage. I really like this ball, and since I have to be "different" for some reason, I have been gaming it a fair amount lately, since inevitably someone asks me "what ball is that?" Honestly it is as good as any of the other top balls. Have not tried the TX4 Pro, golf ball test seems to indicate it is slightly firmer than the TX4? Not sure. Anyone else?

I've been playing all sorts of golf ball brands over the winter, and the most consistent in terms of length, feel, and spin the Tx4 Pro's are a better ball for me. I've compared these to Srixon AD333 / Z-URS and Callaway HX HOT Bite / Tour i and I keep using the Tx4 Pro's more during the round. The flight is what my game needs because with some of the Srixon and Callaway balls I used, they have a high trajectory. The Tx4 Pro's trajectory wasn't too high when I hit them. The only negative I have to say is, if you are hitting the ball really well, the grooves from your irons or wedges will eat the cover up or if you bounce it off a tree or cart path. The cover scratching doesn't bother me too much though.
