Slimmer fitting golf pants

Recommended Posts

If you want some water repellent trousers - that are not actual rain pants - could always snap up a pair of these, that were good enough for the Euro team:

https://us.loropiana...?colorCode=WH89

$625?? That’s insane

Check out their other stuff. Clarke - who fancies himself as a bit of clothes horse - put the Euro team on that track in 2016 and they stuck with it in 2018.

It's mental how much they spent per team member, there were a few articles about it.

Their paneled/puffy vest/gillet is over $2k.

$2k?! Is that why they usually win? ;)

I’m kinda digging the looks of these. I love colors like this. Good reviews from you I assume?

I settled on this label after several trlal and errors. ( Greens and fairway, Nike, Bonobo, U A, IZOD... ) With today's low water, abrasive cleaning machines, many of my clothes don't last like they used to when the wash tub filled with water. I find that the dye doesn't fade and the stitching is durable & fit is true. They make a variety of styles, colors and fabrics. I'm still wearing the Winter Tec's I bought two seasons ago. I had a allergic reaction with some brands treating the fabrics with water resistant chemicals after assembly

I have to say I don’t get why specific golf trousers are necessary. Just wear a pair of chinos.

Let’s see.....

Chinos are cotton - too hot and sweaty in the summer. They also stay moist.

Swamp a** in the lighter colored chinos.

Deep pockets - some find them uncomfortable to spend searching pockets for a ball marker, tees, etc.

Chinos generally stain pretty easily.

Golf pants are lighter material that breathes, cooler colors, shallow pockets, and dry quickly.

Hope that helps.

Lmao at how I would look after walking 18 in the wet morning in some chinos...

I’m going to get myself a pair of these for wet days, have some waterproofs for very wet.

On about the 9th hole, I start realizing its not the water on the outside that needs repelling, its the sweat on the inside lol.

To each their own!

I wear Underarmour showdown tapered pants with vents. Breathable material, slim fit, water resistant poly type stuff. Seriously, walking 18 in anything not suited for performance, be it be breathable pants or the wrong underwear, ends up a nighmare for me.

Ha! That's it, the US Team's gear ends up at Ross's or a Ralph Lauren outlet store, while the European Team's gear requires an appointment, Maserati, and Milan-model girlfriend.

Has to be a contributing factor.

Hahaha, yeah the European team's captains are just more invested in their players probably. Like did anybody see that BMW video of like mcilroy, fleetwood, poulter, and stenson I think, where they called Bjørn about the cryotherapy chambers? :) :)

I just received a pair of Gap "Clean Khakis" in slim fit. I like them a lot, they're nice and trim through the legs but they have a little bit of stretch so it isn't restrictive.

The only thing I don't like is that they don't make them in 35 waist. I ordered 36x32 and they're a bit loose around my waistline. Hopefully I can get down to 34's again soon (working on a goal leading up to my 50th birthday next month).

Gap sizing seems to be on the generous side, if you have a Gap store locally, go try on a pair of 34's, they probably fit. I am a 32 waist, and, I can fit into their 31 waist pants. Some of the 32 waist pants, actually, feel too big (straight fit).

Agreed. I think they are going with Seinfeld-sizing, to make their customers feel better.

Just picked up two pairs of Adidas Ultimate 365 Tapered pants and I'm liking them. True to size and the taper is good but not too slim/skinny. Only set me back $40 each.

I think the Nike Flex are the best. They are probably the most tapered pants I've seen. They're more like chino, but very stretchy. They're probably the best pants I own. I was lucky to get a 32x34 in wolf grey at a Nike Clearance Store for $25. I wear them at least once per week.

I like the Haggar Cool 18 Pro Pant Slim Fit - usually get them for approx. $30 as they seem to always be on sale. Worth a try at the price. Color choice limited to Blue, Black, Khaki and Grey.

They wash up well and the fit is perfect for me (5'10" - 170 lb 33in waist)
