i have had the F9 since earlier this year. Finally moved the heavier 14g weight to the front...Holly pancake.. so frigging long. huge difference. in crappy conditions i had 3 drives in the 310-315 range.

I still think the descent of the F9 could be improved. I am convinced the F9 needs a low spin, low/mid launch shaft to get more roll. I dare not say it is a higher spin head but it can be compared to ST190g which i just bought and going to put the F6M2 in it and find a stiffer tip shaft for the F9. It really would be insane long to dial in the descent a little. Flatten out. Fun times. Element Earth MK 6 would be mind blowing in the f9.

Resuscitating this thread because I hit the F9 Tour 3W on a simulator today and am in love. I was originally leery of the smaller Tour head, but I have come to really dislike hitting my normal sized 3W off the deck, and the more hybrid-esque look is really appealing to me. More shallow rails are also a plus for me. I need some help with details please:

 

Has anyone compared the 15* 3-4W setting with the 16* 4-5W setting? 
 

Does anyone know if Cobra tip trims the 3-4W and 4-5W models differently?

 

I am looking to upgrade my Taylormade Burner 2007 3W with Grafalloy Prolaunch Platinum X flex shaft. I hit this alongside the F9 Tour with HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 6.0, both at 15 degrees loft, and the F9 was about 10 yards longer carry on good strikes. From a tee my SS | launch | carry numbers were about  108 | 16* | 255 (265 for F9). 
 

I would prefer the 16* setting for the marginal improvements in forgiveness and stopping power on par 5 approach shots. I am also fine with losing a few yards off the tee. I would like to know if anyone has noticed an unexpected distance loss between these two clubs/settings. I also think the HZRDUS Smoke in the same flex  will help in this regard, versus the Smoke Yellow that I hit today. Doubly so if Cobra tip trims the 4-5W shafts more than the 3-4W. But of course, I can’t verify this for myself because my shop doesn’t have this combo available to hit.

I still play the Tour 3/5 woods, also the F9 4H and 5H, probably still be in the bag for several more years
