Ping Blueprint forged irons- New photos added page 27

Recommended Posts

How many of the folks who want these have ever hit them?

No one. But I've hit the Glide Forged wedge and know that Ping can produce a sweet feeling forged club that performs.

This. So many times, this.

14 Pings. Blueprints are incredibly good. Fetch is the most underrated putter on the market. Don't @ me.

I know this is gonna ruffle some feathers but is this simple a novelty? A desire to own a piece of Ping history? I can dig it. Sounds to me like most of these sets will become wall hangers and the others will hit BST. Sorry, just don’t know too many elite ball strikers that benefit from this particular club. I agree it’s cool and rare but it’s certainly not going to help your scores. Don’t hang me boys it’s just one mans opinion. BB

Lots of players play blades. Percentage wise might be small but the actual number is higher than you’d probably think.

This may also attract players who prefer full MB blades to Ping.

I'd guess (without looking) that there are at least a dozen active threads on WRX that devolve into arguments about whether or not people should play blades...I'm hoping this thread doesn't head that way. :)

Will. Will attract those players.

Hilarious to me that people act like this won’t be a relatively forgiving iron. Probably along the lines of the razr mb/mb1 from callaway or the Adams mb2. With either , they are in my opinion as forgiving as say ap2 , or callaway x forged for example. Clearly has weight in the toe. And will have weight moved other places too. This isn’t a 1982 set of titleist tour model blades. Goodness. Not a huge deal if you remotely find the face.

Please no, defintely not my intention. Just curious what everyone’s motivation is here. There are plenty of MB options out there I just think this a novelty since this particular set happens to be from a company that hasn’t gone this route. Hey, play and buy what you want MB’s are fun I’ve owned many sets. As a low cap can’t say they have ever truly benefited my game over the long-term. BB

Ah...gotcha.

I can only speak for myself here, but I'm interested in these irons because they look f-ing cool. :)

In all seriousness, I wouldn't buy anything without hitting it. If I don't like the way Blueprint looks/feels/performs for me, it's a pass. I love my iBlades and love PING as a company...I have to at least consider Blueprint if it's widely available (being a limited release makes me a little less interested...I don't want to fight to get them.

I'm thinking they will be close or a little more than the i500's, I think I paid $230 CDN ($173 USD) a club w steelfiber shaft upgrade

Essentially to my eye the finished product is a smaller version of the i500 with a "forged" portion. The Anser irons were high end up here, twin has a set still

But based on me paying $250 CDN per club for T-mb's it could get up to $275 to $300 each ($225 USD)

There is a lot of iron sets for sale up in Canada now for north of $2300 per set.

I only need 4 of them

Club Champion just posted a photo of the Blueprints with the hashtag #comingsoon. The iron they posted also has a color code dot that has not been on previous sets that definitely points to a retail/wider release.

seems everyone is now letting the cat out of the bag that they are COMING to non-pro's

Amazing what happens after a demo day and the reps hear the presentation

I feel like I broke the story and need the equivalent of a golf Pultizer, maybe the Green Albatross or something
