Ive been tinkering with a few shafts lately. The Ventus Blue 7x was surprisingly the clear winner over the other contestants. It lived up to the internet hype.

I replaced the fli hi with a sim udi. It reminds me a lot of the tour only version of the Adams dhy that I had and should have never sold. Plus, it pooped on the flihi off the tee, especially off the ground, and out of the rough. If the dynamic gold 120 doesn’t hold up I’ll probably lean towards a ventus 10x to throw in it.

I love them. Like everyone else has said, super hot and long. They get up high and just go and go. Spin is low enough to hit bombs, but not so low that they are hard to control.

 

But the two things I don’t like are:

1. They were a little big to my eye at first, especially the 3 wood when I came from the M5 woods. I have adjusted to the look now but at first it looked big. 
2. At their finished length they were light and I had to add a good amount of weight to the heads. At 43” with a midsize grip, the 3 wood was C9 swing weight.

I submitted a warranty claim for my sim head... it had a weird spot of discoloration that I assume is just a paint blemish, but I wanted to see what they’d say. They told me it needed replaced and that they’d get a replacement sent out to me by, get this, January 15 2021😂😂😂😂😂

sim for sim2 driver 

sim 3 and 5 wood for sim2 titanium 

mp18 for 921 tours

mp18 fli hi for sim udi/ventus black 10

jet black sm8 for raw sm8 with the “tour grind” and straight leading edge.

a little change to the swing and ventus blue didnt work as well as it used to, so i'm going to give a RipX a whirl since i loved the original rip alpha 10 years ago. does anyone have feedback on it? there isnt much on here about it, other than the fluff thread to sell them from a while back
