Can't say I've seen PXGs in someone's bag. Funny part is, I have played and simply complimented their owner on some sweet Miura's. Turned out he worked in the biz, so got a pretty good deal on them. IF I were to see a guy with PXGs, I'd say nice sticks or similar, thinking 'wow, more money than sense'. Each to their own, as long as have the game to backup the expenditure it's all good.

Why would you care if they have the game to back up THEIR expenditure, lol...Is not your money, lol...

That's one of the silliest things I have read here in 11 years, lol...

Glad able to make you laugh. I find it hilarious when people try to buy a game with expensive clubs rather than take a lesson. I can afford PXG, so it's not like I care so much about the money and more about the why.

I don't think it's the expense that gets folks riled-up...it's that we ALL KNOW guys who are constantly trying to buy a swing....the same guy who EVERY weekend tells you "I think I've finally figured out ______".

So have you traded in the horse for a Yugo? Gone upscale to a Prius Maybe? Perhaps a 97 Grand Prix!

They can be bought for the price of Taylormade's, so Taylormade's or PXG's? No Contest!

No doubt one of the best irons I have hit and the iron of choice 0311 4-PW with steel fiber stiff shafts 2018. What I hate about them? Everywhere I play, the same response. You must have plenty of money, what do you do for a living? It is beyond irritating! It has become a thorn in my side. Whatever the notion is out there, these clubs are affordable if you want them. I just want to play golf when I hit the course!

I had someone make that comment about my SLS01 irons, and I told them to go be poor someplace else. ;)

You have to have the game to back up your expenditure? But it's YOUR expenditure.

Don't HAVE to do anything, it's just funny to me when people think it's the arrow not the archer and toss money at it to no avail. Play whatever you want, if you can't swing PXGs you can't swing any club.

I love it when get paired with people who can't break 100 on a good day for them, full of all the latest gear...then they blame the club.

I love mine and no one asked me what I do for a living?

hey nutmeg,we dont have to ask you what you do for a living-- you live in westchester ny ,enough said,,i grew up in white plains

I live in humble side of Westchester.

But yeah, it is very nice around here.

Even the county courses are nice enough not to be asked what I do for living.

I find it hilarious when people try to buy a game with expensive clubs rather than take a lesson.

On what basis do you make this statement?

I like to wear nice suits. Not because I'm trying to buy Sean Connery's looks. I stand the same chance of looking like him as I do beating Tiger straight up. You know how I justify my suits? I don't! I buy and wear them because I want to.

That is the only justification a man needs to spend his own money.

Put down the Hateraide and stop counting another man's money.

Question: Why do PXG club numbers start with "0"? Do they plan on 9,999 variations? Or does the first digit represent the amount of money you have left in savings? Just curious.

Those numbers represent Marine Corps MOS's.

Well THAT EXPLAINS IT! Thanks! My dad was in WWII and blew up German railroads. I don't know how he survived the war. And he never talked much about it.

My friend, that was a great generation. I salute your dad! I'm not surprised he didn't talked much about it. I did two combat tours in a four year period, Just Cause and Desert Storm. Unless you are talking to another person who has seen the same type of action, it is hard to share it. My wife and I never talk about it, unless something comes up on television.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE! SALUTE! I don't blame you at all about not talking much. My Dad had tons of medals in his dresser top drawer...and I the only time he talked about one was when I pulled it out and asked him. He said "yeah, machine gunner expertise" or something like that. But that was the extent. Mom didn't talk about the war either.

Back then you would get marksmanship tabs for every weapon system you qualified with. My grandfather had like five different tabs, pretty cool.

I loved my time in service. I didn't get out because I wanted to, I got out because I was wounded during Desert Storm, almost lost my left leg, and I couldn't do my MOS any longer.

At the end it worked out for me and went on to a thirty year career in Federal Law Enforcement.

For all the bagging on PXG...me included...but for fun because I like all clubs....y'all gotta admit starting a new golf club company is NOT easy to do, especially in the face of mergers and other club makers who have gone out of business.

Indeed.

Bob is the original club ho who else better to start a golf company he’s started 2 previous businesses that made him a billionaire. No one else in golf can say that. Say what you want about him but he’s done what the other OEMs could only dream of. Raise the price for luxury clubs and people pay it. Don’t see anyone paying $400 an iron for a Callaway or Titleist. If they’re worth it another story.

You're confusing your right to do something and my right to make fun of you for doing something.

Nobody is arguing that people cant buy PXGs or that it isn't "justified". We're laughing at you for making a silly decision based in vanity. Those are two different things. You are free to do whatever you want, nobody would suggest otherwise. And I'm free to do whatever I want. Like think people who rock PXG and can't break 80 are posers trying to buy game and attention.

Anytime the justification is "its my party and I'll cry if I want to" chances are the decision is pretty stupid.

hahaha Pinestreet, dork.. :) Don't be mad cause your money hasn't bought game yet... Tried tho...

If one gets a year end bonus of $50K, $100K $1 Million do you think they care about $2K, $3K $4K for a set of irons? Especially if golf is their passion. Ever made $3000 $5000 $10,000 in a week?

It is all relative. Corvette or a Miata. Hmm, let me think---
